He threw up his breakfast...

...and also the Clavamox pill I had given him about 15
minutes before.  My 19 yr. old Foxy is being treated for a
persistant upper respiratory infection, and I don't want to
screw up his medication.  So my question is:  do I give him
another pill this morning - he gets them twice a day - or
not?

I think I'll have to start pilling him *after* his meals
settle, from now on.

Advice appreciated,

My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because
they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap;
you don't make them because
they're popular; you make them because they're right.

See if you can get the liquid Clavamox.  It is easier to get in and if
given a few hours after a meal is not likely to be thrown up.

Thanks for the reply, Mike; I have given the liquid before, but Foxy is
actually pretty easy to pill, so I always go with the pills for him.  I
didn't know that the liquid is easier on the stomach, or I would have
gotten it.  However, I decided to re-pill him, as I had to go to work
before the vet's office opened, and couldn't wait for their advice.  He
kept that one down, so I think I'll just wait an hour after his meals
before pilling, from now on.

My cats revolt at liquid meds. Pilling 'em is waaaay easier.
