Science Diet Hills Prescription a/d - available at the vet's. Canned food
which is specifically for sick animals - high in calories, & most cats find
it to be very tasty. Also can be force fed (oral syringe), if necessary,
since it has a very fine consistency.
Another option: baby food meat (without onions listed in the ingredients).

Hill's A&D high calorie cat food.
I get it from my vet, canned...
Chicken broth does not have many calories, but it might encourage him to
take in more liquid. Hydration is important. Just be sure to either make
it FRESH or buy a low sodium variety. Fresh is better. Canned is kinda
high in salt and it's not exactly hard to make chicken broth. ;-)
Lightly cooked mashed liver is good too as it's very rich in vitamins
and minerals.
