Call your vet. Tell him you rescued the kittens and are planning to adopt
them out. They may cut you some slack on the charges. Our vet did that.
Checked out all four kittens we rescued and gave us meds for about the same
as it would have cost to take just one of ours in for a visit and meds.

We took in a pregnant cat and have been taking care of her and her
four kittens. We then rescued another kitten.  All have been fine till
4 days ago when the little ones (6wks old) started vomiting--thin
yellow liquid.  They are still nursing and now don't appear to be
eating very much--we've been feeding them Science Diet kibble and wet
kitten food.
The older kitten--approx 12 weeks, is not vomiting, but is lethargic
and not eating that much either.
We have 3 older cats as well who mostly live on our front porch--come
in for treats and to sleep.  They seem fine.
I'm very worried and not sure what to do--we live in LA and taking
them all to our vet will be very expensive--I was hoping to get the
little ones adopted soon, but am willng to do what it takes to keep
them healthy.
I very much appreciate any help you can offer.

I'm not an expert on little kittens, but six weeks seems a little
young for kibble.  Why not look up  "kitten feeding" on the computer?

If a baby was exhibiting these symptoms would you take that baby to a doctor or
blow it off by posting in a newsgroup? I'm puzzled as to why you did not at
least spend a quater and call the vet to describe (the above) and ask if a
consult was needed.
