OK, I know when she got big (a long time ago!), but when did she become a
proud, fully grown tigress??

It happens overnight when you aren't looking.

Sammy is certainly a dignified lady these days, so I'd
guess at no future Hoolikitten stories, huh?

I now have a little bit of Sammy over here - Claudius sports
the same brick dark-red colour of nose.

If a cat that size was a hoolikitten, its hoomins would be decimated.

I'll say.  QC, who looks a lot like Sammy, gets in moods sometimes.  This 23
lb gentlecat turns into the wildebeest hunter of the Serengeti.  He stalks,
runs, and pounces on the enemy with resounding thumps, bangs, and umphs.
The enemy usually yelps and thunders down the hall with the wild cat in
pursuit.  Fortunately, QC has decided that Qui Gun Kit and Speedy the
d-thing are the only suitable prey for him.  Qui ends up running up to us,
or behind his mommy and Speedy has learned to turn tail and grapple back.

Speedy has decided that the cats are his pack and that QC is the alpha cat.
For some reason, he thinks that Qui Gun Kit is in his age group and
therefore a good play partner.  Qui weighs about 5 lbs, Speedy weighs about
45 lbs.  We watch them very carefully when they play, as do QC and Sonya
(Qui Gun's bio mom).

We have had breakage to QC's plumey tail knocking it off of the mantle,
stands, the table, counter, and dressers.  He doesn't mean to break things,
honest, they just got in the way.

She sure is magnificent!  But just wait until she gets her winter
coat!

Well, not much of that (winter, that is) in Houston. :)
