Vino likes to meatloaf on the desk while I'm reading the NG.  Every so
often he will get up and stretch and prance about on his little kitty
toes.  He does a circuit of the desk and then settles back down in
exactly the same spot an in the same position that he was in before.
I guess he didn't see anything more interesting to do so decided what
he was doing before was good enough!

I love this term "poking"  Now Fil has described it a new word has entered
the language, or at least a new interpretation of it, and it seems we did
need a word to describe just this!
Kitty FC has been poking a few yards from the back door today.  Just sort of
meatloafing, enjoying the sunshine and contemplating life.  For hours.
BF hasn't time to poke today.  He is in hunting mode. I will write another
post about what the silly chap has been doing today.

Poking.

Because there's a big difference between sleeping, and being awake
while refusing to move.

Sounds like your kitty is doing a good job of it...just lookin' around
at what Mommy is doing.
