I say Canadians, because 'Homemaker' is a Canadian magazine, and I don't
know if the Americans can buy it. The article, 'Oh, What a Feline' is on
p. 10 of the summer edition, but not on the site. It's a rather touching
story of a man who got a cat because he wanted something like a dog, but
less high maintenance. He learned a lot about cats after adopting
Winchester, who 'has the colouring (and appetite) of a Holstein cow'.

I don't think I've seen Homemaker in Canadian shelves. Is it by subscription
only?

I think they sell it in supermarkets and drugstores at the checkout, but I
could be wrong. I got this one in a pile of magazines a friend passed on
to me to read. It's got a price of $2.49 on the front cover, which implies
you can buy it by the copy. I don't think it's particularly regional,
either. They have a website, www.homemakers.com, but they don't have that
article on it.

I used to have a subscription to Homemakers -- got it by sending in a
collection of Crisco bar codes, as I recall. I do believe it's only by
subscription, for I've never seen it available anywhere. It's a great
little magazine -- good recipes and articles.

Shoppers Drug Mart sells it, it's usually next to the prescription
counter.
