Rhett now being the largest of the four furbabies even at just 11
months old (~15 pounds - tall, long and lean) has this amusing way
of laying down and snuggling with Shamrock and Bonnie. He adores
both of them, but he plays rough, even by their standards. When he
wants to snuggle with either one, he plops down and leans his full
weight onto the face of the snugglee of choice. He knocks Bonnie
off her feet, and Shamrock will usually levitate quickly to avoid
having his face smooshed. With either of them, he shoves his face
into theirs, demanding kisses and smooches. With Scarlett (still a
petite girl, but loooong in length), he just lays on top of her,
usually with his butt on her face. With me, he plops down on me
when I'm sleeping and I can barely move. He's a silly boy.
Purrs for Sherry, Karen's mom's Tycho, Marina's gang with the new
furbaby, Smudge and Larry, all of those with health and job needs,
and everyone that doesn't fit those categories that I've missed. I
read almost everything. CN, your office looks fantastic. Purrs for
you and your depression and pains, too.

Thank you Cheryl. And another *THANK YOU* for being the bigger person and
extending the peace pipe. You're a class act. Please accept my public
apology (I know, here she goes again! ;>) and let me hand the peace pipe
back to you. I miss chatting with you about Shamrock, Bonnie, Rhett, and
Scarlet.

Rhett sounds like a real character! I laughed out loud at the description of
snuggling with Bonnie. Tycho is doing much better.

Well, I did put up a few new ones a couple of weeks ago, one does
show Rhett lounging with Bonnie (she has to be touching him with
her paw when he's close) You might have seen these because I linked
them in another group. I really do need to put up some new pics!:)

And a pic with their new smaller cat tree. This one shows Rhett's
gorgeous coat.

Gorgeous kitties and I want that cat tree. I've been drooling over a
similar one at PetSmart.

I think that cats are able to manipulate gravity to make themselves
stick more forcefully to others. When Betty is on top of me and I
want to get up, it can be surprisingly difficult to move her off.
Sometimes, she's glued so well to me that I have to feel around for a
few moments to try to figure out what part is her and what part is me,
so that I can try to pry us apart.

I think you've got something there. Most of my cats have been
around ten pounds in weight. So where does the fifty pounds of
pressure come from when they drive head, neck and shoulder down
upon us in that "I-love-you-and-want-to-be-*real*-close" move?

Or when you want to move them and they don't want to be moved. I swear they
have force fields.

Marina's niece's picture is clear evidence that cats have some sort of
Star Trek technology to manipulate gravity:

LOL! I checked with her, and when she explained where the pic was from,
I know that Kasper has indeed climbed down an almost vertical rockface.
She said Miranda and Emil went down first, and Kasper was going to check
out what they were doing.

Aw well, that makes it a little better - at least he wasn't free rock
climbing solo. But I really think they shold use a harness and have
someone belaying at the bottom of the cliff ;-)

Rusty always seems to know when I want to get up while he sat on me.
He would quickly get down and let me up. Almost as if he can read my
mind.

CHERYL!!!! I've missed you so much!! How are YOU doing and what are you up
to? Like you I've been reading the group, but rarely replying. I'm also
thinking about those who are going through tough times lately, and are
sending well wishes and purrs to them all.

LOL! What a sweetie! Miranda is a bit like that, at least with me. She
throws herself against me, and it seems she needs to have as much of her
body touching mine. The ideal is, of course, laying on top of me. She
did that to Frank and Nikki, too, when she was younger, but I haven't
seen her doing it to Frank in a long time now.
