He's here

Well, he's here. So far, Miranda has done a lot of hissing, and the
little man has answered in kind. Frank came out, sniffed the newcomer,
and commenced chatting to him and following him around. At first the
little one tried hissing at him, too, but Frank just continued talking
to him, and the baby stopped hissing at him. He's still a little scared
of Miranda, but she stopped hissing at him already. They sat some
distance from each other and just watched each other for the longest
while. Both are obviously interested in the other.

He is not one bit shy of me, he climbs all over me, comes to me for
shelter when the bigger cats scare him, perches on my shoulder, chest,
neck or lap and purrs like a little motor boat. Some pics of the little
guy starting here:

I added some pictures to my island pics, starting here:

And here are a couple of pics I took earlier today, before the new guy came:

I'm afaid I can't use the sauna at all. My blood pressure or something
doesn't like the heat. But I've put the litterboxes in the sauna, and
the cats seem to enjoy lounging in it, so it's becoming the official cat
room. :o)

Wonderful little tigerboy! And I'm jealous of your sauna. ;) We're
looking for an apartment with its own sauna too, as the one in common
use among the tenants doesn't feel as clean as I'd like it to be.

It's a waste, really, since I can't use the sauna. But at least the cats
like it. Hope you find a nice place with a sauna. They're putting them
into most new apartments these days, it seems.

Such a handsome little boy.  Hope Miranda appreciates him.  I know he will
love her.  I think I'd be naming him Gus.  I'm going to have to remember
that for our next boycat.

A very handsome young man.  I'm sure whatever name you give him will be
perfect.  Very good of Frank to be so helpful.

Miranda will come around, she's probably put out by the fact that there
are now two boy cats, and she's the onliest girl.  You'll have to
convince her that this means more girly lovin's (I'm sure you won't
have a problem with that).

He's got little white mittenses and little white bootsies, an adorable white
bib.... and (this is the most important) a *PINK NOSE*, and a spotted belly

*BUT* they are all over 1 year old... are past the rambunctious kitten stage
and are fazing onto the lazy-fat-@$$-cat stage... Oh, they have their
moments, but those moments are getting farther and farther apart.... lately
if you want entertainment from them, you have to entice them: Moe has her
bottlecaps to chase, but they have to be thrown; Mimi & Moe both love the
red-dot greebling, and feet under covers: Mimi can be pretty fast for a
butterball, and she bites those bed-mousies *hard* - OUCH!  The only one
that seems to entertain himself is Weebs, when all of a sudden you hear him
mrrp meep nyeow and chirruping at His Purple Puffball.

The people in Tallinn, where he was born, claim it was on the 10 March,
but I don't quite believe that he's ive months old. I'd say closer to
three. When I visited him at the beginning of July, he looked like 8-9
weeks old. I thought I'd set his purrday on the 1st of May, since that's
a holiday here.

Thank you. Frank is still chatting to him every time they meet, and

1st May would make him a Taurus, like Claudius (3rd May): however,
observe him closely and see if during Zoomies etc. he keeps bumping
his head in/on things - that would likely make him an Aries (late March
to mid-April and you might like to put back his birthday a month say.
All my Aries cats - Aries himself, Bandit & Snowball - have been good
at hitting their heads while rushing around. Taureans don't, it's more
the neck with them.

Whatever he is, I hope you all have a wonderful time together. 11 days
in, Claudius stopped wrigglewrestling just long enough for Snowball to
deliver a few quick licks to his neck & chin. Awww, they're bonding :-)

He's a very touchy-feely kitten. He always has to have his paws on me,
headbutting and kneading me and purring up a storm. An incredibly
affectionate kitten.

Their camouflage is perfect for the cliffs. One time, I knew Miranda was
somewhere on the cliffs, but I couldn't see her. I looked and looked,
straining my eyes to pick her out, but no success until suddenly a
little pink yawn opened up in the middle of the rock!

Those were nice pictures of Frank and Miranda too - I liked Frank up as a

Thank you for thinking of my darling. Yes, it was very strange. I missed
seeing the two black cats doing their rounds together. I missed her
rolling around on the warm cliffs. I almost missed having her come in at
three in the morning with a vole, meowing her special 'I brought you a

What adorable pics!

BTW, Leo looks like Stanley in miniature. The biggest difference seems to
be that he's got more white on his face than Stanley's got (but not a
whole lot more). It's kind of cool to see him, because I wasn't fortunate
enough to know Captain and Stanley when they were as wee as Leo is now. So
this gives me an idea of what Stanley might have looked like when he was
more bitty-sized. :o)

The best of luck to you in your new home and with integrating a new
hoolikitten into the family. :o)
