We have a fair amount of new folks posting, not to mention all us "old
folks" (ahem).  And while I know many of your cats' names, my
age-addled brain sometimes forgets.  So how about posting your name
and your kitties (and other pets, too, if you want) in this thread, so
we can all have a listing?

I'll start:

Will he be the most spoiled cat in Australia next year? I think he'll
have some stiff competition. ;-)

Ernie*; DSH white with spots of grey tiger, 16 month old, male
Lizzie; DSH grey & orange tiger with white face, belly, legs,  2year 4 month
old female
Mimi*; DSH white with blotches of grey tiger & a splash of orange on her
forehead, butt & tail, 16 month old female
Moe*; DSH white with grey tiger (and a blotch on her nose), 16 month old
female
Ping**; DSH seal-point Siamese, 16 month old male
Smokey; DSH blue w/green eyes; 13 year old female
Tennessee Tuxedow; DSH black with white on his purr-box and belly, 11 year
old male
Sir Weeble Wobblybottom***; DSH black with a speckling of white in his right
"armpit", on his belly, and in his ears; 2 year old (this month!!!) male

* Ernie, Mimi & Moe are littermates, born to a feral MamaKat.  Their sister,
Minnie, was adopted out and lives about 40 minutes north of us.
** Ping found us (by getting into our basement) and TED estimates his age to
be the same as Ernie Mimi & Moe.
***Weeble was born to the same feral MamaKat as Ernie, Mimi & Moe, but 2
(frustrating) years earlier (Mama just won't get caught), he was abandonded
by her when he was only about 24 hours old, and hand-raised by me (with a
bit of help from DH)

Please note that all cats listed have been spayed/neutered, and get better
health & dental care than both me & DH - if anything seems wrong with any of
them, off to TED they go, but if DH or I feel bad, we suck it up and tough
it out.... we're stubborn that way.

Good idea, Ginger-lyn.  As one of the newbies, I've been meaning
to put together some kind of list that I can pull up anytime I'm
reading here and can't remember who belongs to whom.  This will
help.

Here's my list.

Current owners, adopted from a nearby shelter in March, 2003:

Will (William of Orange) -- DSH dilute orange tabby, approx. 11
years old.

Heidi -- DLH torby, approx. 5 years old

Also of note, two former owners we raised from kittens and had
with us for 12 and 14 years:

Flicka (MIA 2001), Zubie (RB 2003)

have two. Any more and someone will end up committing me to an asylum! ;)

Ain't it great???  When we lived in Cape Canaveral, we had 14 cats,
ten of which were "officially" ours (the other four were unnamed
hangers-on we took care of) during a span of about 5 years.   Chico
died of cancer at 16, Frodo died of unknown causes, Prego was killed
by a car (we think).  I recall thinking at the time, "Oh, God, I have
to go through this seven more times - I can't do it!!"  Oreo and Squat
went MIA, Alien (AKA Mouse) was killed by a car, Philip died at age
20+ of kidney failure.  We had three left when we moved away, then
Custard died at 19 of kidney failure.  Now we're down to two - Hobo, a
diabetic, and Speckles, who has kidney problems.

After them, no more!!!

Tygra (female torbie, four yrs old  The Queen and she knows it.  Still
thinks she's a wee bittie who can sit on my cleavage and take a nap like
she used to, but now she makes an effective blocking mechanism for the
tv screen or the book i'm reading :) )

Possum (male orange himi mix, four yrs old, alias the handsomest cat in
the whole wide world, the mighty hunter and the studmuffin.  This is the
cat everybody notices and remarks upon.  He's big, orange and full of
cattitude, but a total lovebug who will take his skritches, and
apparently his tuna as well, wherever he can find it.  He's been
visiting our bus driver neighbor for illicit snacks in the recent past.)

I'd still have some of the rest, but moving across country in a car is
really difficult with more than two cats, and Ty and Possum are the Prez
and First Lady, so they had to come with us.  The other four we had
previous to that were Lilly, Oreo, Tootsie and Trixie.  They went to the
shelter in fredericton where they quickly found homes due to their
unnatural beauty and awesome attitudes

Those who have been my cats in the past:

Lilly (female orange tabby, poss. siamese mix, now four yrs old as well.
very very chatty girl who liked high places and thought she needed to
dry my head with her tongue after i had a shower)

http://www.geocities.com/krispyp/lillyspage.html

Oreo (male tuxedo, total sweetheard, now about 3.5 yrs old, he was one
of those Lap Fungi you hear so much about in here :)AKA the catdog as
well because he would follow me around the house or neighborhood like a
puppy :) )

http://www.geocities.com/krispyp/oreospage.html

Ozzy (male orange tabby himi mix, RB at the tender age of three months,
possum's littermate, got him for an acquaintance and then found out she
was neglecting him.  Stole him back, but twas too late.  The worms he'd
gotten from all the fleas he ended up with were his undoing.  I had
cleaned him all up and attempted to deworm him, but it was too little
too late :(  )

Lilly and Oreo were part of the original quartet which got added to
initially (and unintentionally) when Tygra caught pregnant and had a
litter three yrs ago this past may, those kitties were:

Tootsie (female tortie, one of the ones we kept, total mystery kitty,
not terribly cuddly, but beautiful to watch, three yrs old at present)

Trixie (female orange tabby, the other one of ty's litter we kept, she
was a fun loving tomboy of a girl kitty.  When we got her spayed, she
had an unusually formed uterine horn setup also three yrs old at
present.  Absolutely bonkers for the laser pointer)

Tipsy (male orange tabby, RB unfortunately, the girl who adopted him was
trying to prevent him from escaping her apt. and he was a little too
quick and got himself caught in the door :(  She took him to the vet and
he had to be put down, poor little guy.

Topsy (male orange tabby, rehomed at eight weeks old.  Was inseperable
with Tipsy and Trixie as the third orange bitty in a litter of five, no
news since adoption occurred)

Jesse (gray male tabby, originally named Trouble in going with the T
theme of tygra's other kittens.  Jesse lives very happily with a very
good friend of mine back in NB who shares her birthday with the litter.
All of ty's babies are now three yrs old.

Ty's babies can be seen at:

Then Lilly had a litter (yes i was stupid, but i was broke and doing my
best, and cats are bloody sneaky!!)

There were five bitties born on Sept. 11th 2002.  One of them either was
stillborn or died shortly thereafter, I was at vet tech school when the
great blessing occurred.  All bitties found happy homes through the
veterinarian at the school except one who went to a friend, and then
decided to adopt the family next door :)

Leif (the only surviving male of the litter, long haired orange tabby,
totally sweet, reminded me very much of his unca Possum :)

Pansy:  female, long haired torbie and white.  Completely funky looking
kitten, very cuddly and curious.

Daisy:  chubby female long haired calico.. god she was gorgeous!

Rosie:  another long haired calico, but this one was built for speed.
This was the hoolikitten of the batch, and she was adopted by a fellow
we know who's nicknamed Srewy Louie, well the match was perfect, or so
we thought.  She decided the kids next door were more her style and
adopted their family, then had a litter of her own.  I saw one of the
bitties and she looked just like her grandma Lilly!

Lilly's Babies only have one album unfortunately because i had moved,
and the friend who has Jesse was only able to visit once while the
bitties were around.  Here is their album:

Ahhh the memories.

I miss my ex-kitties!

Krista here; my DH Dave and I are slaves at home to
Tallulah (black longhaired beautiful girlkitty) and
Hubert (Lula's tabby son);

and at the office to
Ozzy (orange stripey lawcat);

and then there's Tigger, orange stripey neighbor kitten who's become
Ozzy's best bud and an honorary lawcat;

and RB Mike and RB lawcat Tiger, both of whom are much missed.

He travels with us and is a constant source of entertainment and joy :)
He's not a cuddler, but he does deign to *visit* me from time to time

(this chaps me cus the silly furmonster is MINE! hehe)

Great idea - though I probably already recognise more porsters from
the kitty names than hoomin names.

LIttle Bit - named by the upstairs neighbor when she told me about the
little bitty skinny pregnant kitty who was hanging around. Nothing
little bitting about her these days - she's definitely on the fluffy
side. Not really little nitty anyway by everyone's standards, as her
ideal weight whould be around 9 pounds - currently around 12.

Sammy - LB's daughter who was born in the bedroom closet when I let LB
inside because of an icestorm. Named by the same neighbor.

Spotty - the new girl in the house, because she's a white cat with
black spots.

Rocky (RB) - former feral who became a lap cat. Named after the Rocky
movies because he sort of looked like an ex-prize fighter - and
sometimes acted like the brain damaged Rocky in the later movies.
