A couple of weeks ago we had heavy rains, and our roof decided to spring a
leak. We got it cleaned up (we thought) and haven't had any problems - till
now. I got a visit from my friendly ACO, saying someone had complained about
a smell coming from my house, and that she needed talk to me about it. They
were concerned that I have too many cats. (I have a lot of cats!) I had an
elderly dog and cat that had accidents on the carpet, and I believe that the
pad underneath retained the odor, and when it got wet with the rain...

So, today I am going to the janitorial supply house and rent a industrial
grade carpet cleaner, and buy that stuff they use for deodorizing carpets
after flooding. Hopefully that will take care of the problem.

As I told the ACO - I don't bother anyone, I just wish people would leave me
alone!

PS: Sorry for venting!

How many do  you have? I mean, I'd think you'd have to have an *awful* lot
to create a smell the neighbors could detect.
