DH & I bought a smaller "point & shoot" digi-cam in order to take candid
photos of the cats, and for him to use for presentations & stuff at work.
We have a good digi-cam, and Canon Eos 10D - a digital SLR, exchangeable
lenses and all that stuff, but it's a pain to drag out, find the right lens
for the shot, etc.... and big & bulky if he wants to take it to work.
Liking the Canon quality, we got ourselves a Powershot SD400 Digital Elph.
Actually even does video, with sound. Takes a SD card for memory, as is
5.0mega-pixels.
Everything is hunky-dory, until this morning.
DH is making some hot chocolate for the caffeine (he's out of pop, and we
don't drink coffee, and he doesn't like tea) - it's the kind that has a
packet of powdered cocoa, and attached to it is a packet of dehydrated
mini-marshmallows. He tosses one of those onto the floor for the cats to
investigate (it has no cocoa powder on it since it was in a separate
packet). Mimi waddles over and sniffs it. Then she looks up at DH.... he
busts out laughing because the dehydrated mini-marshmallow is stuck to the
tip of her nose!
And the new camera is sitting on my desk, nowhere near the kitchen.
Aaaargh!

Yup, know what you mean. Dennis has the Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 for the
same reason. It's tiny and thin and practically the whole back of it
is screen. Easy to take pictures with while flying a helicopter! And
small enough to fit into a shirt pocket. But do you think he carries
it everywhere like he should??? Nooooooo....I'm always the one who's
grabbing it and carrying it in my purse when we go out. Dennis would
never remember it. Men!
In any case, it hasn't increased the number of good shots we get of
Vino by one iota. I still get most of those with my Olympus Ultra
Zoom C-750. Mostly because I keep it on the coffee table with fully
charged batteries at all times.
