This time it is me rather than Rusty who needs purrs.
My eyes have been bothering me. Yesterday they started watering.
I don't know whether its from allergy or lack of sleep, or eye strain
from too much computer use.
It took me several calls to get through to my eye doctor. At first
I was told they are taking appts for Sept! I told the lady I
want to see the doc sooner and explained my problems.
Finally got an appt for tomorrow morning.
I had my last eye check-up last years and everything is fine.
The Ontairo government recently stopped coverage for
eye exam in the government insurance program.
I am hoping treatment for eye problems will still be covered as I only
have the basic government health insurance.
Anyway, purrs will be appreciated. Meanwhile I am putting wet teabags
on my eyes. But whenever Rusty jumped on me, he dislodged the teabags.

Purrs for it to be nothing. FOr both my mom and I, when this happens, our
gland ducts are just clogged up (making your eyes dryer and therefore
triggering watering eyes). If you take a cloth and get it wet and as hot as
you can stand it they put it on your eyes for a couple of minutes, you can
then massage along your lash line (and usually get lots of goop). Do it
several times a day (or at least three) and usually it clears right up.
Might be worth trying.

Thanks Karen. I tried it and the hot towel felt very good, better than cold
tea bags.

I'm glad. Some stupid doctor stuck me on an anti-depressant when I went to
him about this. I evetually realized this was B.S. got off and then the next
time I was at the eye doctor I mentioned my watery eyes (also sometimes
gritty feeling.) He took a two second look and said "oh your ducts are
clogged" and recommended the hot towel routine which worked great ( I always
do this when my eyes seem tired now). I could have shot the GP who stuck me
on Zoloft.

Purrs for your eyes to feel better soon. If you are reading this, why
aren't you resting your eyes? ;-)

Purrs on the way. This is a bad time for allergies here. The watering
part sounds like allergy. Hope you can get some relief.

Went to see the eye doctor this morning. He didn't find anything wrong with
my eyes. He didn't think it is allergy, but gave me a prescription for
allergy
eye drops if things don't improve in a few days. He also checked my
eyesight. It is worsened a bit, but I can stay with my current eye glasses.
Didn't have to pay for the visit, so it is covered by the government health
insurance. I heard a regular eye checkup will be CDN $80.
Except for dilating my pupils, the doc did just about everything in a
checkup.
Thanks everyone for the purrs. Really appreciate them.
I will keep doing Karen's hot towel routine.
