I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

Woo-hoo!  There is a new baby in the National Zoo, too. ;)

Thanks for the link.  I've been watching it on and off  (time difference
makes it more difficult) and seen a lot of sleeping momma ;-)  I would love
to catch a glimpse of the cub.

The cub is (presently) about the size of a US stick of butter (might be up
to 1/2 pound now) so it will be hard to see for a few weeks!  By all
accounts Momma-Bear keeps it in her hand, held close to her breast for
warmth.  The bears are mammals, but I've not heard anything about how they
feed/nurse the cubs.  Pandas eat bamboo exclusively (as Koalas eat only
eucalyptus)... but I guess the newborn cubs must nurse?
