Yesterday our long awaited, custom made, leather couch and loveseat
got delivered. It was an exciting day for everyone, but none more so
than Vino.
I don't know if it was the smell of dead cow or what, but he went
absolutely nuts over the couch. I've never seen anything like it. He
scooted from one side to the other, sliding his arms into the cracks
between cushions in the most kittenlike way. He was bug eyed, perky
eared and ridge backed. His little bunny tail was all fluffed out.
He was experiencing his second kittenhood!
In between attacking the couch greeblings, he would race off and jump
on his little catnip pillow and give that a good thrashing. Then it
was back to the couch.
After a while, he was visibly exhausted. But he still wouldn't leave
the couch alone. He went to sleep wedged into the slope between the
cushion and the arm of the couch, with his nose buried in the crack,
breathing dead cow smell the whole time. Aaaaah, kitty heaven :-)

It's this one and the next 3 after it. Sorry, no pics from the height
of his zoominess, we were both laughing way too hard to be able to
take any pictures of that :-)

Oh, that's cute. Bandit has a leather shoe fetish (well, she is female,
leather shoes kinda turn me on too!). She'll roll around on them like
they're made of catnip. ;>

I also liked the tropical indoor plants and the bowl filled with
bongs. Vino looks great, as always.

Bongs? Um, okay, different term here for "bongs" ;) Japanese fisherman's
floats LOL

Yeah, I went searching the album for "bongs" but didnt find any! ;)
Anyhow, we also just got new furniture a lot like Vino's new stuff!
Brown leather! However, my twosome seems to think they smell funny or
something. They havent spent a ton of time on them yet. We got a couch,
loveseat, chair and ottoman. All brown leather. LOVE IT! :-)

Congrats! New furniture is so much fun :-) Gotta love brown leather!
I wouldn't worry if your cats aren't spending much time on it. At
least they aren't scratching it that way :-)

Heh. Yeah, incidentally, the chair got its first scratch from Luna
tonight. She did it while leaping on it to get to the window behind it!
Oh well. The furniture is nice, but we assume it will take somewhat of a
beating with 2 furballs living here. We got some nice suede-like
(polyester though) throw pillows just tonight... and Dudley already made
himself comfy propped up on it! :)
new decorations are fun too!

Okay, incorrect terminology, but that's what they looked like. :) As
a Japanese, I should have known better! But I'm really lousy at
fishing.

Most of them (the floats) are antiques, Tak. Can't blame you for not
knowing they used them to float nets that were cast in the water :D

BONGS??? Ummm, we don't own any bongs. They are just coloured glass
balls that Dennis had made at a glass factory in Burma for $1 each.
We do own a middle eastern water pipe, otherwise known as a sheesha or
hookah, but it's not a bong ;-)

Thanks, Susan :-) We absolutely love the couch, have done nothing but
lounge on it for the last 2 days. It was so great to be able to pick
the style and the leather and the stitching and the legs all
seperately at the factory. And altogether it was less than half of
what it would have been back home.
Thankfully we're not worried that Vino will wreck it. He only
scratches his sisal wrapped scratching posts and we also keep his
claws clipped.

Vino, of course. I just love his round little punkin head. ;-)

Vino is such a cutie, and an ornament to any couch! I have a leather
chair, and Stinky hates it. He seems to know he shouldn't stick his
claws in it, and I think it feels too slippery to him. If I'm
sitting in it, he'll still come and sit in my lap, though.

I love the couch and love seat. Vino has good taste. I hope you are very
happy with it for a very long time.
We bought a leather couch and love seat eighteen years ago when oldest
daughter had our first grandson. And it still looks pretty decent. Now if
I could just find an upholstery person to go in and retie come of the
springs. But eighteen years and three grandsons and all their friends
later, I think its amazing. Smartest thing we ever bought.
