LO Evrybody
MH (My Hoomin) sez you'd like to hear wot it's like in my new forever
home. So I'm dictating & he's typing, tho' not very well and he can't
keep up. We kitties are so much quicker at everything that hoomins,
aren't we?
Last Friday I was taken away from my 2 brofurs and 3 sisfurs and put in
a hooge cage with a soft blankie and a littertray all to myself and
driven for 40 minutes in a 'normous rattly rumble-box (Mini 1 diesel -
MH). When I was brort indoors, still in my cage, a giant 4-leg not-cat,
1st I'd ever seen, (Raki the Shiba Inu d-pet - MH) trotted up to friten
me. I puffed up large, advanced to the bars and hisspitted at it and it
ran away. Then a jigantic whitish cat (Snowball - MH) came up, so I did
the same thing, only it didn't run away, 'stead it fluffed up an'
hisspitted back.
I thort it time to visit the litterbox at the back of my cage an' when I
finished it had gone.
Then I was let out into the little room (Hall - MH) with a skyscraper
condowe and scratching post/playcentre on top, all the way to the
seeling. Ooh I did have fun exploring that, there are four rooms each
with toys in them, and 'oles for getting around between.
Then I got to sniff nosies with a wite-an-blak older cat (Bandit - MH)
who was verry nice - just sniffies, no hisspits. In a bit he let me play
"chase" wiv his tail, three times. I like him.
Later I got to eggsplore the hole howse and found out the not-cat wasn't
so fritening after all: I play-rushed him a few times and he did
nutting, I think he was a bit afrayd of me. I had a luvly dinner, had a
pee and a poop, and a long sleep.
On Caturday I was less diffident: I got to drink the d-thing's water,
eat the big ole cats' food, (amazing how high he can jump when I'm not
looking - MH) chew a lot of wires, tunnel into an old (antique - MH)
armchair, nock down lamps, pitchers an' things, scrabble in nice crinkly
papers (mostly bills - MH) an' all sorts. I got to play a little bit
with Bandit but he's old and slow and not much fun, but Snowball kept
away from me with a LOT of hissin' and growlin'.
Funday woz better, 'coz Snowball forgot he was angry at my arrival and
played wiv me a bit. One good time I woz trying to get out of the second
storey letter-box window of my Condowe an' he sat outside batting at my
head to stop me. So I slipped quickly down to the first (ground) floor
and biffed him in the ribs, right under his noze! He was so surprised
and fritened that he ran away, an' I chased him, but in a bit he turned
round and came back at me so I did the running away into the barfroom,
an' hid behind the toilet bowl. Snowball thort he could ambush me from
above by jumping on the seat but he forgot that it's slippery an' he
skidded right off it an' fell into a big bottle of bleach with a big
thump! OOOh, he didn't harf growl at that! Me 1, Snowball Lost !!
Later, and again on MoFunday he played wiv me again wiv less hissin' an'
growlin', so I egspect he's gettin' used to me now.
MH sez there are more pitchers of me & the condowe an' things here:

He also sez that if I live ('coz I'm mitey annoying) to grow into my
ears, paws, tail and purr I shall be a verry big boy indeed, big enuff
to match my purrsonality. Hope he's rite.

So nice to hear you are settling into your new home, Claudius. It sounds
like you are in the process of wrapping everyone around your little paw,
there, except maybe Snowball.

Claudius sounds like a fun kitten. Its a good thing you didn't name him
Caligula.
