Which of your cats has the yummiest tummy?

Victor Martinez - 01 Aug 2005 13:20 GMT In our case, it's definitely Rufous. He's got incredibly soft fur in his tummy, and it's nice and cuddly (with spots!). Also, he's the most skittish about tummy-rubbing, so that makes it more desirable I guess. He doesn't mind tummy-rubs, but he doesn't love them either. Basho and Issa, on the other hand, will let you rub their tummies all day long.

I often say there is something wrong with his legs, cos soon as you go near him he rolls on his back. :-)

Cali enjoys her tummy rubs when she's relaxed, but you may get the occasional bunny kick,

Shiral - 02 Aug 2005 07:27 GMT I certainly can't. =o) I MUST rub Omar's little tummy NOW! What an adorable little guy!

Miranda's is far too tiny to be very satisfacory that way, though I'm trying to teach her to let Meowmie kiss the tumtum now and then. ;o) She doesn't like it, though. She always gets this rather shocked look.
Nikki's tummy was the best for rubbing. She enjoyed it, and would stretch out to receive scritches on as big a surface as possible.

Last week I would have said Snowball, who enjoys his tummy-rubs, but now so does Claudius, and his has got Spots as well!
Only Bandit, even after 6 years of pampering, won't let anyone near his vulnerable tum-tum on pain of disembowelment. Pity, 'cos it looks lovely & soft.

Basho and >Issa, on the other hand, will let you rub their tummies all day long. Stinky! Of course! Good thing he's a tummy whore. ;) He and I have always had a thing where I walk into a room where he's lounging, and I say "SHOW ME THE BELLY!" and he flips right over. ;) Stinky's belly is fluffy, blinding white, long *and* broad. I always say it looks like you can land F-16s on it at night. ;)

mlabofski@yahoo.co.uk - 01 Aug 2005 15:44 GMT I think the spots are nipples. Otis loves having his tum scratched (oh not tickled by mum, really hard fur flinging scratching by dad) - he rolls his eyes up, drools and sticks his tongue out - and Otis quite likes it too!
The next day, mum is not amused as has to hoover up all the piles of fur deposited on the sofa and floor and wash the covers to remove the drool spots.
jmcquown - 01 Aug 2005 16:37 GMT > I think the spots are nipples. No, some cats have spotted fur on their tummies!

Scout lets me rub her tummy for her and she purrs her head off for as long as I want to continue... Silver also likes tummy scritches but she's likely to turn around and engage the deadly paw trap if you do it for more than a few seconds at a time :)

You just can't beat Vino's tummy, it's so beige and tufty and soft and fluffy and he lets me touch it and bury my face in it whenever I want. That's why he has the bestest tummy of all ;-) -- Britta "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast." -- Unknown Check out pictures of Vino at: http://photos.yahoo.com/badwilson click on the Vino album

Basho and Issa, > on the other hand, will let you rub their tummies all day long. I think the main reason Jake sleeps with us is to score the extra tummy rubs at night if either of us can't sleep.
I'm only guessing that Molly even has a tummy. She hasn't relaxed that much yet. I only get to scratch her back and ears for a few seconds if I am very good. I stepped on a paw while letting her out a little while ago. That is not what she considers being very good.

Also, he's the most [quoted text clipped - 7 lines] > Send your spam here: uce@ftc.gov > Email me here: pistorLITTER@BOXaustin.rr.com I have quite a nice collection of tummies at my place. Pan is a tummy slut. Even though he's thin these days, he still loves a good tummy rub, and will obligingly move his legs out of the way and purr LOUDLY the whole time with his eyes closed and a smile on his little face. Francesca and Nina both have adorable soft tummies, and I can't decide whose is more desirable: Nina's white tummy with the little belt of brown spotted fir just above her hind legs, or Francesca's exotic orangey-brown fur with dark spots. Nina has somewhat MORE tummy than her mommy and is more inclined to let me touch it than Francesca is. Francesca bats at my hand with her paws and enough claw tips to let me know that I'm talking an UNSPEAKABLE liberty!

========================================= That is a major tummy;o) Spiceys tummy is white with a black belt that has a brown buckle. Suz (Spicey is napping.)
Wayne Mitchell - 02 Aug 2005 04:31 GMT It's Will, hands down (or hands on). His has just the right feel. Heidi is getting better about relaxing and letting us rub hers, but it's just not the sensuous experience that rubbing Will's is.

Basho and > Issa, on the other hand, will let you rub their tummies all day long. It's academic really. For all I know KFC might have a very nice tummy and now and again she will invite me to look at it. It usually happens outside in the summer and she will roll on her back on the path "hey, stroke my tummy.." I fell for it once and retired wounded. Boyfriend has a beautiful spotted tummy (eat your heart out Theresa, it is so gorgeous..) He shows it to me only occasionally when he feels really brave and confident. I think he would show it to me if I ate the mints I got in the post which drove him a bit silly. I must find out who sells them <evil grin> Norty meowmie.

Also, he's the most [quoted text clipped - 18 lines] > > Tweed Ding, who has grown into a quite solid Russian Blue type, is the most shy, and tends to hide. When he does come out to play, he often insists on belly rubs. His alternative is to head-slam (not head butt) into me when I'm in bed, and apparently try to get his head under my belly.
Once I start a belly rub, and sometimes a chest rub, he will usually twist up his head to lick my hand. He has an uncommonly soft tongue for a cat.
Rhonda will roll over, but really prefers to have her chest scratched (as distinct to rubbed).
Mr. Clark, very rarely, will want a tummy rub, but, although he's otherwise the most forgiving of the group, will warn that an uninvited belly rub should stop very, very soon.
Christine Burel - 04 Aug 2005 23:18 GMT > > > In our case, it's definitely Rufous. He's got incredibly soft fur in > > > his tummy, and it's nice and cuddly (with spots!). Also, he's the most [quoted text clipped - 34 lines] > otherwise the most forgiving of the group, will warn that an uninvited > belly rub should stop very, very soon. It is truly unfortunate that the absolutely most tempting tummy in our house belongs to Tucker. There is just something about that fat fuzzy peach-colored tabby tummy that makes me take daring risks to pet it. The only way I can get away with it is if he has both paws and claws and teeth engaged in a cat toy and then I just reach in quickly and rub it! Celeste says she can sometimes get away with petting his tum if he's verrry sleeeppy (he sleeps with her in her room). Christine
