I wondered why the play fighting had stopped & the short furry people were
laid out on hardwood floors again like a couple rugs....just saw tv weather;
today
another record-breaking 101oF; that's 8 in past weeks. Cats are not stupid;
they know when to pack it in and lay low. I just hope in their fuzzy little
memories they don't remember how they used to be comfy in the constant a/c
they enjoyed in our former home......I've been putting ice cubes in their
water; so far no complaints. Considering putting ice cubes in my
bathwater.....

LOL! I can't imagine 101F without AC. Wait, I've lived through it. Back
in college. I had to have a fan pointed at me at max speed in order to
sleep. And it was hard!

That is the way folks live in this western outpost of civilization,
Victor.....and think nothing of it! We got lots of ceiling fans; they do
nothing but move the hot air around. But I really think the natives here are
not any more used to sustained triple-digit day temps than we
are........this is unusual for the area. I blame global warming in general.

A hint about ceiling fans...  Most of them have two modes of operation -
either pulling air up or pushing air down (and can be switched from mode to
mode by a switch on the body of the fan).  In summer you should have the fan
switched to pull air up (since heat rises you don't want the hot air pushed
down on you as you would in the winter).

Awww... poor critters and poor people.  Here's hoping the weather breaks
again and you all feel better.  I don't do heat well myself so I understand.
