So, the woman I'm buying a house from can't keep her 2 cats.
Their names are Gut & Gul....  The Danish version of Tweedle Dee &
Tweedle Dum.... Or so she tells me.  Both female, 6 yrs old, fixed, all
shots up to date.  They are longhaired Tuxedo Tabbies.  They are SOOOO
freindly & social it shocked me!  I'm Willing to drive these beauties
anywhere within 2 days of Kamloops, BC.
I'd considewr taking them myself... but .... I have 2 & My DW has
1 and a teenager.  I don't think we can handle a 5 cat house (small
house, I might add) & stay sane.  Of course (*SIGH*) I won't let them
go to the pound & I'm doing all I can to find them a home in the
village that they live in.... but.....

Good luck in finding them a home. If not, 5 doesn't sound too many.

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Good luck, and if I can happily keep 4 in a two bedroom
apartment....*ahem* I hope whatever is best for their welfare happens.

Why can't she keep them?

Maybe she is moving to a "no pets" place.  I, for one, would never consider
such a thing.  But sometimes price is a consideration.  We don't know her
circumstances.

He has bought an 100' sq. home. Not an apt.

I was referring to the woman who can't keep her cats, not to Mathew who
already has 3 cats.

He doesn't mention her age - if she's going into some sort
of senior care, she may not have the option.  More and more
of such places are allowing new residents to bring their
fur-bearing family with them, if they are capable of caring
for them.  However, they usually limit it to "one small
pet", and not all of them are so enlightened.

This is very true, and if so I will purr for her...I would be
devastated to have to rehome any of mine because I was unable to care
for them, yet I would have to do so for their sake
