It seems to be our mantra. He around 2 years old now, I would think he'd
give up his hoolikitten ways.

One day I came home from work and found the curtain rod and curtain on the
floor - BarnABUS!

The fish plates in the china cabinet are all just slightly askew - BarnABUS!

Someone walking across the paper output tray of the
printer....BarnAB.....ok, my fault for leaving the output tray out.

Last weekend one slat of the window blinds behind the headboard of the bed
was broken...just enough to provide a peek hole....BarnABUS!

I sit on the couch right next to the hearth of the fireplace.  Barnabus will
lie on the arm of the couch and methodically knock things off of the hearth
and if I'm not paying attention he'll hook a paw into my glass and tip a
glass full of ice and water on the floor - more often than not pouring
liquid over important equipment.  BarnABUS!

He is a carb addict. He loves bread, pizza crust, potato chips, crackers and
will help himself to whatever is on my plate that might be a carb - he
ignores any meat he finds there.  And he dips his paw into food and water
and eats from his paw. Last night he stuck his paw into my salad and raked
out several leaves of dressing coated lettuce....BarnABUS!

Tonight I was in the bedroom and heard DH say BarnABUS - what did you do
with that red string?  Come back here with that .... where is that red
string BarnABUS? - I don't think I want to know but suspect I'll find the
litterbox offerings have sprouted a red tail.

Then at the end of the evening he comes to me and gets behind my head on the
back of the couch and gives me a really hard headbutt saying "I'm here,
Meowmy" and then drapes himself across my shoulders and falls
asleep....awwwww...BarnABUS.

At night he comes to me and wants to knead his Meowmy but first he has to
make sure she's breathing so he sticks his little pig nose in my face to
check and usually gives my lips a little lick of his
tongue...awwww....BarnABUS.

And when he kneads me I drape an arm across his body and as I fall asleep
and my arm gets heavier across him he knows he's put me to sleep and he'll
stop his kneading and press his body against mine at the bend of my legs and
fall asleep...awwww...BarnABUS.

This has been written so sweetly and dearly.  Just wonderfully and I so
enjoyed it.  Oh, Barn-A-BUS just keep doing what you're doing!

what a wonderful post about a kitty-with-character.  Thanks for
sharing it with us.

That's so cuuuute :)  Just think, that is the little kitty living in the
cold wild planter outside. He's happy.

Just like Miranda. Extremely annoying one minute, extremely adorable the
next. I've found that yelling Mi-RANDA! is much more effective than just
yelling MERE! At least it's much more satisfying to me. Doesn't have
much of an effect on the cat. :oP

Awwwwww.  What a sweetheart.  And you know you secretly love it that
he's gone from a stray to being secure enough to be a brat -  you just
can't tell *him* that.   ;-)

What an entertaining fellow!  And a sweetie, too.  No wonder he has
you twisted around his paw.

Got pics?

He sounds a lot like Bagheera, who was 2 a couple of weeks ago.
