Harvey is very very picky as to what flavors of food he will let grace
his palete.  Salmon flavor is not one of them, he never eats it when I
give it to him. Well Bob Marley (the ferret)eats food that is Salmon
flavored, last night I caught Harvey sticking his paw in Bob Marley's
cage and stealing food from his bowl. So to deter this I put a few
pieces of Bob Marley's kibble is Harvey's bowl. What did Harvey do?
Turned up his nose and went back to stealing the same food from Bob
Marley's cage.
I guess the saying that the grass is greener on the other side should
read  Food is better when stolen or at least from Harvey's point of
view.
So then I try putting packing tape, sticky side up, around Bob Marley's
cage but no this does not stop Harvey. He fiqured out that he could
hook his paw in the loop and move the tape.

Skritches,
KittyLady and Harvey who only eats Salmon flavor food when stolen!

Bob the ferret is a new addition to your household, right?  Maybe
Harvey's expressing some jealousy ...

Possibly, They play very well together. Bob Marley sleeps around 18-20
hours a day and as soon as he wakes up and starts moving around his
cage Harvey is right there demanding that I let him out. Harvey loves
to play with him. I think it is alot like children when they see
another child with something, a toy, food, etc. they want it to.

From all I've read, ferrets are very inquisitive critters and require lots
of toys and play-things.  Bob Marley probably needs a lot of stimulation and
toys (like my bird does).

Sounds like tons of fun. ;)

I love the name Bob Marley for a ferret, BTW.  I don't know why, it
just tickles me.

Bob Marley is one of my favorite artist. When Bob Marley came to us his
name was just Bob. I thought it to plain so thus Bob Marley became his
name!

Sounds like your household is perfect for Bob. I always worry about
ferrets getting enough stimulation -- most rarely get out of their
cages, let alone get to explore.  But I'm sure Harvey and Bob Marley
together have a rip-roaring good time!

The only time Bob Marley is in his cage is when he is sleeping at
night, and sometimes during the day but only if he goes in there on his
own. I am trying to save to get him a larger cage but they are pricy
$138 dollars for the nice ones. But back to you statement, He roams
freely and explores everything! Under the refrigerator, the stove,
hides in pants legs, chases behind me etc.  The only thing that I am
not liking to well is that he was never litter boxed trained, so he
tends to go on newspaper laid in the corners. We are working on the box
training and he goes in there sometimes so hopefully it will work out.

I just assumed that it was proper etiquette not to actually spell the
word but to imply it as I am sure some here perfer to not use
vulgarites.

You're right, it is better, really.

I mean, not quite as vulgar.

I'm just trying to rattle a few cages

Certain ones, will not say a curse word (not you, that's not my point)
but they will say hateful nasty things to another, far worse than a curse
word

Skritches, this sounds made up, like, cat scratching britches, lol

I see you have met our current troll. Most groups have a resident troll
or two, and this one is ours for the time being. As trolls go, this one
is fairly harmless, and is even vaguely amusing at times. Its even
kinda cute in an ugly sort of way.

Having a troll is part of life in Usenet, and we could do alot worse
than this one. It can be fun to throw them a tidbit every now and
again, and watch them sink down to new depths to catch it. However,
feeding without having the appropriate flame retardant underwear on can
be very risky, and best left to the proffesionals.

This has been a community service announcement.

I don't mind cursing as a rule, but I think it's better to use the
***.  Just as you said.
