Oh Oscar is such a good cat. Wish Rusty can take lessons from her.

She doesn't act like this often. I cherish it when she does.
Anyway, Rusty is a good cat =)

They are not so selfish sometimes as people make out. They tune in to
us I swear. When I had depression several years ago after a bad thing
happened, I couldn't stop crying - Otis used to either sit next to me
with his head on my lap looking up as if to ask what's wrong, and
sometimes used to do the cutest thing when I cried which was to sit on
the top of the sofa behind me, headbutt and lick (groom) the top of my
head.

Awww.
I've never been aware of Oscar being nicer to me when I'm emotionally
distressed, but she does seem to know when I'm feeling ill. She likes
to sit on my belly and purr when I have cramps.

How sweet! I bought Miranda a cat dancer after reading about how Oscar
enjoyed hers. She loved it the first couple of weeks, but she's tired of
it now. She will lay and watch it intently, but she doesn't jump and
leap after it like she did at first.

Rusty lost interest in his cat dancer long time ago. Today I tried to
get him play with it again and he obliged, but not for long. He probably
thinks he is too old for it.
The other toy he always like is the feather on a stick.

Oscar never cared for the feather on a stick, except to eat the string
if I left the toy out. Sigh.

I keep the Cat Dancer hidden. When it comes out of the closet, all
springy and boingy, Stinky gets springy and boingy, too. ;)

Oscar definitely goes through phases. Right now she likes it enough
that when I leave it out on the floor, she lies down nearby and baps
and grabs it.
Today I saw her pull herself along the floor to get to it -- it was
maybe 6 or 8 inches away, so she streeeeeetched her arms out toward it
and then puuuuulled her body to it, lying down sideways all the while.
So cute!
