With all the things John is dealing with in terms of his elderly mother, he
still found time to put some stuff in the mail for me :)  Okay, so it's
early.  Better early than never, right?  He found the CD for the soundtrack
from 'Cold Mountain' and sent me that.  Our favourite track is, "You Will Be
My Ain True Love".  He included a birthday card which shows donkey's playing
Pin the A** on the Human!  He sent me some 'pin money' (my grandmother
literally used to pin bills inside her bra, too funny!)

OB CATS:  He also added a catnip mousie for Persia.  Awwww!  What a
thoughtful man he is!

He's got the arrangements all set for his elderly (89 year old) mother.  His
doctor friend was able to find a nursing home for her and they have a room
all ready for her.  He's been trying to get her to pack, which they are
doing in stages; she's being cantankerous.  They will fly out of NY next
Tuesday.  After she's settled he'll fly back and take care of her house,
car, etc.  His mom's lawyer is coming over tomorrow so she can sign the
power of attorney papers.  A lawyer who makes house calls!  Wow!

He's under so much stress lately; I kept telling him not to worry about me,
not to think about me.  My birthday is just another day, you know?    But he
loves me :)  Any spare purrs would be appreciated as he gets his mom settled
and then has to deal with all that other stuff.  I have a feeling I'll be up
there next month, to provide moral support if nothing else.

Purrs for you to put more effort into things that matter and less into
being a kneejerk censor wannabe.

What a Keeper! =o) In the midst of all that, he still sends you a birthday
gift. =o) More seriously, I hope all will soon be resolved with his mother's
care, and with resolving her current house and car.

We are sending our best purrs out to John and his mom, hoping they are
both happy with the resolution of their situation.  And we are sending
advance birthday purrs to you.  :-)

Purrs continuing for John's efforts and the stamina to get all this done;
he's accomplished an amazing amount in a short time it seems like to me.

Thoughtful man!  Purrs for him and his mom; I know this can be an
extremely trying time.
