When I was very young we had another black cat named Samson. He was a
loving beautiful big tomcat who spent most of his time outdoors. We
moved from one small town to the next one, about 15 miles away. We
left him behind with one of the neighbors because he had always been
happy there. We knew he would be well cared for, and that he liked
the neighbors because he visited them daily. Six months after we
moved we found him on our new porch. He had never been to the new
place, so how did he find us?
Now you might think the old neighbors dropped him off at the new place
but they didn't. They even called us when he first disappeared from
their home a few days after our move. They were so sad about him
being missing. He found us on his own. I don't know how.
I will say he was mistreated by women during his search for us because
he hated women for the rest of his life and would swipe at the ankles
of any woman that came near him with his claws out. He didn't do that
before his "Incredible Journey". It really bothered my mom that she
couldn't go near him anymore.

I have read other incredible journeys before. It is rare; but it
happens. Some critters are very special.
