Just got back from TED. Oh, and Sammy and Spotty were in cahoots in
pulling a B*ST*RD C*T TRICK. I thought Sammy was telling me where Spot
was hiding when the time for the appointment was close. Nope, now I
know Spotty had deliberately let me see her hide under the recliner,
that Sammy was so intensely watching to make me think Spot was hiding
there. When I went to get her there was no Spotty under the chair.
Sammy got up with a smug look on her face and went to sit on the couch
and watch as I commenced to hunt for Spot. Eventually found her under
the bed, and we just barely made it to the appointment on times.
Spotty has been given a clean bill of health, nicely healed from the
spay and her stitches are out. She had to have been the best patient
of my girls - never bothered the stitches in the least. Spotty has
quite a reputation at TEDs as a good patient. She rolled over on her
back for a belly rub to show off her incision, and didn't struggle at
all when the tech held her as the stitches came out. (Once upon a time
Sammy had a good reputation, too, now she just has a reputation as a
very LOUD cat - but at least she hasn't tried to fight them - yet)

Good for Spot! She is a permanent resident of your home now, I take
it?

Well, at least until the landlord finds out ;-) No, just kidding, I
don't think our landlord would even notice her. Our agreement is two
cats, but since LB and Sammy want nothing to do with a man who
obviously is NOT a cat person, he never even sees them since they hide
whenever he comes inside. I suppose someday he might notice a third
cat watching him through the window, but if he does she'll just be
visiting. No need to tell him she's now an indoor only cat - BTW she
has shown no interest in sneaking out since I brought her in.

I am glad to read that Spotty is doing so well. If she and Sammy are
conspiring, she is really starting to fit in. ;-)

I'm very glad that Spot is OK and is being integrated into your clowder.

A house is not a home, without a cat.
