It got too dry for the ants earlier this year and they started coming
into the house in several places. The ants are getting to be fewer
and fewer because it has finally started to rain here, and I know from
past history eventually there won't be any more coming in. Meanwhile
the cats are having fun pouncing on the ants. Cleo and Trouble like
to smack them with their paws. Samson has decided they are a great
snack. That is if he can lick them up. Sometimes they run just out
of tongue range while his head is too close to them to actually see
them. Then he raises his head, zeros in on the ant again, and tries
another lick. I've seen him try to eat the same ant four times before
he got it, and he always has a very satisfied look on his face when he
gets one. Evidently they are tasty because he doesn't give up even
though he misses often. I can only assume they are worth the trouble
it takes to get them.

So funny. I always enjoy watching Stinky follow some bug across the
floor, his nose seemingly fastened to the tiny critter. ;)
