Well, the in-laws and their critter have left. The cats are still not
venturing into the living room, where Daisy was contained. Luna won't
even come into the house, she's spent all of her time in the enclosure.
I hope they will forgive us soon. :)

I'm sure she will, Victor. You are the Filler Of Bowls, after all. <G> And
the resident masseurs. But she might let you know she didn't appreciate the
d*g interlude.

I'm sure they'll forgive you soon (but in the meantime I'd wear a cast-iron
cup to protect the family jewels!! ;>).

They'll forgive you. When, I'm not sure :-)
We had a couple staying with us for 3 weeks and they brought *two*
yappy little dogs. They stayed in the garage. Do you know it was WEEKS
after they left before the cats would go in the garage again. Like it
was contaminated or something.

Good to hear that life can get back to normal in your household!

My in-laws leave tomorrow, but their d*gs are staying on!  The in-laws
are doing a week's trip to the coast and have asked if we will look
after the puppies for them until they return to our house next week.
Of course we said "yes" as the cats and resident d*gs have adjusted
very well to the intruders.  Even Persephone, who is inclined to be
shy, spent some time sitting on top of the puppies' crate teasing them
:^)  So cute!  Kendra beagle is mis-behaving a bit by peeing in the
lounge, but we think that's an expression of being very excited by all
the activity and extra attention (my in-laws just love her to bits),
not an expression of anxiety.  We are also usually very careful to
*never* leave Kendra in the lounge without supervision, and with all
the extra people in the house, it is much easier for Kendra to sneak
into the lounge without us noticing.  We can't blame her, really, but
I'd rather not have to clean up after her.

Spock, being a party dude, is having a *wonderful* time with all the
extra, um, slaves!  Ted is, as always, sleeping on our bed for 23.5
hours/day and ignoring all the hubbub, except to bully DH when he
comes to bed.
