Persia was getting some scritches and purring like mad.  Suddenly her nose
wrinkled up and she sneezed.  It sounded so funny, she was still purring
through the sneeze (purrrrr-eeesh!)  It's funny when she yawns when she's
purring, too :)

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

Nocturne is happy to purr while she's biting you.

It is further proof that she's a dominatrix.  She's purring.  She
enjoys the petting.  It just needs to come with a little pain for the
petter--just to make it clear who's in charge.

LOL - I thought Bandit was the only cat who did that!  She also growls while
she purrs!!!  ;>

Last night I was resting with my speech processor resting on my pillow
rather than behind my ear and Jake laid down on it and started purring.
Since the other end was still connected, I could really hear him loud.  Very
cool, and he acted like he understood what he was doing.

For anyone new, I'm deaf and only recently got a cochlear implant.

I'm sure he did, Jo!  Just be glad he didn't sneeze :)

I've been meaning to ask, is that working out well for you?

Gets better every week.  I'm learning more about how to adjust it, and
evidentially the nerve it connects to is educating itself as well.

My younger daughter and her fiancé were here this afternoon to discuss
wedding plans, etc.  And I was able to actually be a part of the
conversation.  I used to have to ask Charlie after anyone left, "well what
did we talk about?"

Great news! I'm so happy for you, Jo.
Continued purrs and best wishes for continued improvement,

Your post made me smile, it must feel good to hear purrs after so long.

Vino often sneezes during vigorous chin scritches.  Must be some nerve
connection thing, same as how I always sneeze when plucking my
eyebrows.

There probably is a nerve connection!  She was getting the chin scritches
when she sneezed!

As for plucking eyebrows, I've discovered a wonderful little safety razor
gadget (I *know* you can't get them over there) made specifically for
shaping eyebrows.  No plucking, no pain, no redness, no need to lubricate
around the brow-line first.  LOVE it!

Ah, but I've discovered threading.  For 50 baht and in 5 minutes, I
can get my eyebrows perfectly shaped.  And it happens so fast that I
don't have time to even sneeze :-)

Ah threading. In the old days there were women  in Hong Kong who did
threading as a business, much like doing nails these day.

LOL! Yeah, I've heard the purr-sneeze before. The yawn-purr, too.
Interesting sounds. :o)

But one of my favorites is the sound of a cat who's purring and eating
crunchy food a the same time. RrrrrKKKKKKKrrrrrrKKKKKKKrrrrrKKKKK (with
the KKKKK noise being produced by a cat purring with its mouth open).

Kitties and their sound effects... gotta love 'em! :o)
