I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your purrs last night, it
worked!  We went round there again in the evening to feed the brood.
They have a cat flat and the 4 others came straight in as soon as they
heard us.  I told Max not to call for George as he might recognise his
voice as being the last one to give him the dreaded 1/2 a pill!  So I
went out (slightly panicking) and called him, and in he came from next
door's garden.  I have no idea where he was all day but thank goodness
he came in, still only ate his dinner couldn't catch him again for his
tablet, but I rang the vet and he said not to worry if he missed one,
the important thing was that we'd found him and he was drinking.  He
looks so thin, it breaks my heart.  He used to struggle getting himself
through the catflat and now he's so wasted, I'm not sure he's going to
get better as he hasn't improved.  It's so weird, he's on half the
dosage my Otis is, and Otis is 6 years older than George, but Otis is
doing so well with his kidneys and his diabetes.  I think part of the
problem is that I crush Otis's tablet in with his meal, whereas they
force George's down his throat which really stresses him and I think
sometimes he coughs it up.  I have told them everything I've learned,
but the cats all eat out of each others bowl, it's like they have a
taste out of one, then move to the next, even though it's all the same
food, very odd to watch.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to
you all for your kind thoughts.
