The girls were very quiet and nowhere in sight so I glanced into the
spare room/craft room... and there they were! I hurried back out to
the living room to collect my camera, and they were obliging enough to
stay in place for a photo shoot.
http://client.webshots.com/photo/313501107/396607952mklEvE and the
next few shots...

About fifteen minutes later I walked past the spare room again and
they'd jumped up onto the windowsill, and again they were being very
cute... and again they stayed put for photographs.

What pretty girls!   Stripey-pants are so cool. ;)

Do my eyes deceive me or are they getting just the tiniest bit
"fluffy"?

Silver's quite thin nowadays... she still has the dangly tummy flap
but it's 'empty'. Scouty's massive and she's starting to get a flappy
tummy too... I affronted her dignity the other day because I laughed
at her - she was running through the house and her tummy was waving
from side to side! Very cute :) We think they're at full adult size
now...

Oh dear, they've torn up those slatted blinds, haven't they?! (I forget they
are still kittens).  Very cute, pretty cats!  Give them scritches for me,
please :)

Ohmygawd - have they done a number on your blinds, or what!!!  I don't think
I have an intact set of mini-blinds in my entire house!  ;>

Sugar just bangs at mine annoyingly after I go to bed. I finally moved that
little tree away from the window. She does not destroy them though.

Not naming any names, but *this* is what happened to most of mine:

They haven't destroyed the blinds in the living room, because if they
want to go onto the windowsill I open the blinds for them... but the
bedroom and spare room have been destroyed. I don't really mind
though, because I managed to break the pulleys on both of them (hence
they can't be opened to allow kitty access, hence the destruction) If
we were staying we'd have bought new blinds months ago, but since we
knew we'd have to move in a few months and everything would be ripped
out of the apartment it just wasn't worth it... if I can help it, our
new permanent apartment will have kittyproof windowcoverings (is there
any such thing?!)

Ha!  If you find something that's "kittyproof", let me know!!!  ;>

Vertical blinds are pretty kitty proof.

Rusty does not bother my blinds. They are all vertical blinds though.
Last year a big floor to ceiling blind fell down and Rusty jumped straight
up with 4 paws in the air.  He was eating by the window.

Yeah, my window blinds look like that too.  I finally gave up on
replacing them and just put curtains over them.  The blinds aren't
expensive, but c'mon, replacing them every month got to be ridiculous.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with blinds that look like that. :)

I suppose they just found the blinds like that, nothing to do with them.

But of course... note how the devastation creates a comfy kitty-sized
gap, just right for sitting in and easy window access...

Ah, some designer, owned by cats, had them specially made to accomodate our
masters' needs - I see!  ;>
