Help! Mom has the dragon again!
A letter by Trouble Kitty, Typed by Debra Reed
Help! My name is Trouble, and I don't know what to do! Mom got out
the dragon again and pulled it's little forked tail until the tail got
very long. Then she shoved the forked end of the tail into the wall
in the hallway and went into another room. I tried to sniff the
dragon's body while mom was away, but she came back too soon and
caught me in the act, then she put her foot on the dragon's back and
the dragon roared at me! Of course I leapt to a safe distance
instantly so the dragon couldn't eat me. I am small, but I am very
fast. Too fast for the dragon.
I've been watching mom and the dragon from a safe distance for a while
now and it's been scarry. Really scarry. First she grabbed the
dragon by it's neck and dragged it into the computer room where the
big cats, Samson and Cleo, sleep every night. I'm not sure why the
dragon can't hold it's head off the floor when mom holds it by it's
neck, but it can't. Anyway, then she kicked the dragon's back and
forced the dragon to eat all the scattered litter and bits of dry food
on the floor. It is a really noisy eater. Then she drags the dragon
back out into the hallway where she forces it to eat anything it can
find on the floor there. Then they go into mom and dad's room doing
the same thing. After that they go into the big room and not only
does the dragon have to eat anything it can on the floor but, and this
is a really scarry part, mom kicks the dragon's back to make it stop
eating, takes the dragon's head off and puts a smaller head on it!
Yech! Then she kicks the dragon's back again and makes it eat stuff
off of the great climbing tower and our lovely window seat and all the
human seats too. Then mom kicks the dragon's back again to make it
quit eating and be quiet again. But all that is nothing compared to
the next horror.
Mom takes the dragon into my room! She takes it's second head off and
puts a third head on it! Yucky yuck yuck! She kicks the dragon's
back again, and it roars and begins to eat everything on the floor in
there. All my fun pieces of litter that like to hide under the floor
mat and jump out at me are gone. All the tiny morsels of dry food
that I intended to eat later, gone. I thought for a second that
Teddy, my mousie buddy, was going to be eaten too but luckily mom
didn't notice when she kicked Teddy out of the path of the dragon's
newest head. Teddy landed right on my fuzzy bedding, and luckily mom
didn't make the dragon do anything to the bedding, at least not this
time.
I don't know why, but mom didn't put the dragon's head into the super
giant water trough that she and dad each get into every day to get
themselves wet (shudder), and she didn't let it drink from the big
covered water bowl either. That bowl has the freshest water in it
because mom and dad change it often during the day. They always keep
it covered though, and we cats never get to drink from it. I think
the humans have been saving that big water bowl for the dragon. That
dragon must be getting really thirsty by now because there wasn't any
water on the floor for it to drink. And, Mom forgot to let the dragon
get it's drink from the big covered bowl before she dragged the dragon
out of my room. I am afraid it will come in my room tonight for a
drink while I am all alone.
When they were both in the hall again, Mom kicked the dragon, it
stopped eating, and she changed it's head back to the first one. Eww!
She pulled it's tail out of the wall and kicked the dragon again.
Miraculously, the dragon's tail shrunk back to it's original length!
Then mom shoved the dragon into the room we cats are not allowed in,
and closed the door.
I am safe for now, but what do I do next time mom drags the dragon
around? And what do I do if the dragon comes into my room tonight to
get some water from the big water bowl? There won't be anyone around
tonight to save me if the dragon is still hungry and wants to eat me.
I am very afraid.
Sincerely,
Trouble Kitty

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's an old story that took days to write.
I used to post here all the time and I plan to post more stories for
awhile. Some will be old and some new. That story was just so funny
that it needed a repost for those that hadn't seen it before.
I heard through the grapevine that rpca was having troll troubles and
needed lots of on topic posts to help drive the trolls away. So here
I am.

Hey, me too! :-)
I did love the story; my little Hubie used to be terribly afraid of the
vacuum cleaner too, but now he will chase it and swat it in his never
ending mission to "help" me. Sometimes I could almost wish he were
still afraid - vacuuming was my last bastion of solitude.

Hello,
This is Tyche and I am not afraid of anything. I like to chew the
dragon's tail. It is scary but if you pull its tail right, it dies (at
least for a while.) I think that if I chew right through its tail it
might die forever.
Mom and MomDad say this is very bad for me to do. I don't know why.
Maybe they love the stupid dragon more than me.

Chewing through the tail is very bad for you indeed. It's only a
little bad for the dragon. The dragon can get a new tail. However
you might not fair so well. I've seen a cat that had all it's hair
sticking straight out, the hair turned all black and sooty, and no
teeth in his head anymore. He said it was 'cause he bit off a dragon
tail and sparks came out the bitten part of the tail. He also said
those sparks somehow knocked him clear across the room. I don't know
if he was telling the truth, but I likes my teef in my mouth so I can
eat crunchy food. I'm not risking that just to bite off a dragon
tail.

Hi Tyche, Vino here. I'm not afraid of the Dragon either. It is a
very useful tool with which I can get my hoomins to pet me in a
different way. Any petting is good petting. The dragon sucks at my
fur making it nice and sleek. And it massages my skin too! Now if
they would just remember to keep it away from my paws. I don't need
to have my paws sucked down the hole, thankyouverymuch!

I also like to be massaged by a dragon, but only the small dragon with no
tail. But I haven't been massaged by the new liddle dragon. He makes more
noise than the old liddle dragon.

Truly wonderful story from everycat's point of view - thanks!
My two are so upset by my own particular dragon, an "Animal
Die Son", that I can only use it very occasionally. I'm really
sad about this, but since I'm mainly visited by animal lovers
who Understand I've learned to live with my disappointment :-)
Please keep the tales coming........

Dear Trouble,
I hate the evil dragon monster too. I work so hard to mark my scent
and fur all over the apartment and Mama Kristi has the nerve to suck up
all my hard work!! She even will put the sucky head on my tower, while
I'M STILL IN IT!!! I was scared but i held my ground and bapped the
sucky head with a few good whacks with my paw and then it went away.
And my meowmie has something called Al-er-gees so she brings out this
monster a LOT!!
But I do know that the monster isn't out to eat ME, per say, but is
more interested in messing up all my hard work. All my glorioius fur
and scent that i've worked hard to spread all over is suddenly gone and
I have to start all over again.
Hang in there. Just get the hell out of the way when the monster comes
out and stay clear and you'll be just fine.
take care,
mischief
