In my kitchen is a small trash can with a flat lid. I store empty pop
cans there. Sheba has adopted it as a perch to supervise me in the
kitchen. She can better see what I am doing from a higher vantage
point and I can see her so I don't have to shuffle my feet to avoid
stepping on her. It also makes it easier to bend over to give her
insulin shot. What a clever kitty!
The other day I was eating a tuna sandwich. As usual, Robin appeared
on the window ledge near my shoulder. With every bite he leaned toward
me. To prevent him from falling I held my sandwich up to him. He
eagerly opened his mouth....and drew back with a jerk and a grimace!
The nerve of Meowmy, ruining good tuna with that nasty Miracle Whip
and pickle relish! He leaped down and stalked off in a huff.
I have some grass planted in a ceramic pot. It is about 8 inches wide
with a 2 inch ledge around the top. For some reason Djoser won't just
reach for the grass with just his front feet on the ledge. He has to
climb up on the ledge and hump his back since his four feet are so
close together. But that is the way he eats the grass. Of course every
time we point the camera at him he jumps down. He is so funny.

hehehe, its like when I'm cooking beef and if Mischief manages to get a
cooked piece she'll walk away in a huff. she likes it much better raw.
Of course after a moment she realizes she can't let a good piece of
food go to waste and she'll eat it.

Sheba will eat anything, no matter how Meowmy messes it up; but Robin
prefers his food natural. Amber (RB) liked people food and would fight
me for it. He wouold also jump on the counter and the table and help
himself!

The Siamese we had years ago would only eat tuna if we DID put mayo in it.
Prissy always came running when she'd hear the can opener, to see if it was
anything she was interested in, but would then leave. But if it was tuna,
she'd sit there and wait. The can would be open . . . she'd just look. Then
I'd put it in a bowl . . . she'd still just look. But when I'd mix the mayo
in, she'd practically fight me for the bowl ! I always said she felt the
adding of mayo meant I had to work a little harder for her !!

She sounds like she wants her food made just right. And her body
benefits from the egg protein and the fat in the mayo.
Sheba comes running to the sound of the can opener cause I give her
the water off the tuna.
