Sometimes, when the phone rings, Little Miss runs over to the phone. If
the answering machine picks up, she will stand over the phone and look
at it. Then, she flips the handset off the receiver using her nose.
It's the funniest thing to watch her do. So, now I tell people when
they call that my cat answers the phone but doesn't take messages!! I
must get a video of her doing this.
Does anyone else have a cat that does this?
Have a great one!

Stinky. He charges to the phone when it rings. He doesn't answer it,
either. He also gets very cuddly when I'm talking on the phone.

My cats don't do that; but it is the cutest thing I have heard of.
Little Miss sounds like she loves the sound of people's voices and
loves interacting with them. And I would say she is very intelligent!

One day soon after I got Little Miss, I started singing as I was doing
my chores. She ran over climbed up something and simply had to sniff my
mouth. Then, she started her own little singing. I wasn't sure if she
was telling me to stop singing as it hurt her ears, or if she was
joining in with me. She still comes running when I sing, only she
doesn't always join in now.
Whenever I play music on my laptop, she comes running and simply has to
sniff the sounds. She just gets so excited about it, she can't be
stopped and simply dances in a circle.
Then, of course, this is a cat of many voices. She seems to always be
trying out new sounds. The latest one has been a cross between a growl
and a meow, as she chases her little fabric mouse across the room.
Amazing!

When Sammy was a kitten I had to explain to all my customers that I
wasn't ignoring messages - just had a hoolikitten who liked to play
with the answering machine. Course as soon as I got a cell phone and
started using voice mail Sam lost interest in the answering machine.
