I just love it when Persia wakes me up in the morning! Okay, maybe not when she tries it at 4 AM, but you know what I mean :) It starts with a gentle tap on my shoulder, neck or ear. When I roll over I see these big luminous green eyes, pupils dilated hugely in the darkened room, glowing at me from her beautiful soft grey face. She always looks like she's smiling at me, so happy I woke up. And of course the purrs are going like an airplane engine revving up for takeoff. I just love waking up and opening my eyes to see Vino staring at me. He's got the wide, innocent googly eyes and he looks so sweet and innocent. He's at his most affectionate in the morning and just loves a good scritching. Very delicately you understand, but one delicate claw is quite the irritation. It works though. Gotta hand it to her. (P.S.She bit me tonight! And I pride myself in that after I give her some scritches and it's 6 AM, I say "It's not time yet" (she's after food!) she turns around, curls up and waits another 30 minutes before tapping me on the shoulder again!
