It's interesting that you should ask about Advantage. I've been
treating Little Miss with Advantage since I first got her. She was
badly infested with fleas and flea dirt. After a couple of months,
Advantage did the trick. No more fleas, flea dirt, or specks anywhere.
She started on the Atopica three weeks ago and was doing great. She had
stopped scratching, except for the occasional swipe and nibble. Then
when I did the Advantage treatment, she started scratching again. It
was very noticeable scratching. After a couple of days, it went away
again. I talked to the vet about it, and no more Advantage. I guess it
travels along the skin. He suggested Revolution instead, since it
travels along the hair follicle. I'm not a scientist so it was a little
hard to follow the biology of the whole thing, but I understood the
gist of it. No more Advantage.
I'm a little leery about treating her next month cause her scratching
seems to be going away and her skin and hair are growing back so
nicely. But then, we live in flea country, during flea season. She goes
outside for walks, and I need to do something or else the scratching
will come back, only it might be worse. I thought I would try
Revolution next month, make sure I have Atopica on hand, just in case
she starts scratchng again, and see what happens.
It's a mystery, but I think we're getting closer to finding out what's
irritating her.
Have a great day!
Cheers.

If she has no sign of fleas or flea dirts you probably don't need to
treat her every month, my two usually last at least three months between
treatments and they have access to outside.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try. Imagine, if after all
this time, vet bills, energy, and worry if it was as simple as being
allergic to Advantage. :) I knew there was a reason I started posting
to this group.

This is a site our own Catnipped put together for me. It's a work in
progress; she's been busy with her new job lately and I haven't sent her
anything new:

Look what she did to my pretty Persia!

Yeah, you need to send me some more recipes - I'm ready to start in again
[found out that my new boss is a little bit blown-away/intimidated/can't
handle how fast I can pop a web site up (*and* he bills clients by the
hour - LOL), so I'm trying to slow down so he can keep up ;>].

You are a *speedy* web gal, I'll give you that! I haven't been doing much
cooking what with the worries about my health but I'll get back on it. I'm
also waiting for the camera battery I ordered to arrive (they didn't have it
in stock at Best Buy - it's a fairly old Sony Mavica). I like it when we
have photos to go with the recipes :)

Speaking of this site, I finally got around to taking your advice and moving
the labels on the main page so they're under the pictures. It does look
neater this way and takes up less room so you can see more categories at a
glance w/o scrolling.
Thanks!

I'm so glad to hear your boss can't keep up with you. Now you can relax a
bit and tell us how working from home with Sammy's help looks like ;)
Best wishes,

Persia, the chef. How cute! Little Miss thought so too. I'll have to
bookmark that site. It'll be a great place to search for that new thing
to try, besides entertaining reading! I love the humor in this group!
You all are a riot!

That's an adorable picture-- and at least she didn't put a "Kiss the
