This is a rare sight... in fact, it's the first time ever it's
happened. Scout HATES being handled but every so often we pick her up
and hold her and stroke her for awhile anyway to try to get her to
realise that she's perfectly safe and we're not going to hurt her...
she wiggles mightily when I do it, but she's realised that John's
stronger than she is, so she just sits back and takes it for a little
while... the other day he put her on his lap and she buried her head
under his arm on the theory that if she couldn't see out, we couldn't
see her! While she was there, Silly came along to see who was taking
over her sacred spot, and I grabbed the camera...

They are so funny how they get jealous. Happens with Pearl and Sugar all the
time.

Hmm, well, yes, it IS a problem having two cats and one lap. Teti and
Tinùviel respect eachother in a nice way: When one of them is using my
petting services, the other one will wait for his/her turn. But not always.

Teti has a favorite posisiton high up on my chest. He comes when i lean back
in the chair. He climbs up on my chest, and expects me to put one arm around
him to support him, and the other hand will pet him. Tinùviel has another
favorite, she jumps up into my lap, go one round around herself, and lays
down to get scrathed.

But sometimes they get the urge for being scratched at the same time. Teti
comes first, up on my chest. Then Tinùviel sees that my knees are still
free, and comes up there. And I have only got two hands... So I have
developed a technique where I use the hand on the arm I use to support Teti
to pet Tinùviel, and the other hand I use on Teti.

Problem solved? Not entirely... What part of my body will I use on the
keyboard?? Suggestions needed. The postings on RPCA come in such a large
number, that I need to read them continuously to keep up...
