Ok, folks, I've got updates on a couple issues here. I'll combine them
in a single post.
First, Harri kitten. Her last vet visit went VERY well, and vet is very
pleased with her progress. I'm still trying to find out exactly what
caused her illness, but she is recovering from it quite nicely. Thank
you all for your concern and support. We'll be going in to see the vet
again in another week or two to check her white cell count and her
coagulation time, but so far everything looks excellent.
I got a call today from the specialist clinic. They are STILL getting
donations from you wonderful people! I asked if they have a means in
place to use overpayments to help other people whose animals need care,
and learned that they have a non-profit foundation for just that
purpose. So those payments that are still in the mail, etc. will be
credited to the foundation and used to help other people whose critters
are critically ill and can't afford the treatment. The doctors at this
clinic are very good, but they are also very expensive so I'm sure there
are plenty of patients in that situation.
And finally, all of our job purrs worked - I start a new job Monday! And
it looks like it might even be one that I can enjoy. Finally, a job that
will get me home to Nancy and the kitties every night.

other little needy one is absolutely a-ok with me. Just glad to be of help

Dan, that's wonderful news! What will you be doing (other than
being glad to get home to Nancy and the kitties every night)?
I still haven't found anything yet, but was told at an interview
today that I am WAY overqualified to be a receptionist.

I'll be a sys admin and a programmer.

I know that tune all too well! I've applied for some tech support and
junior programmer jobs and been told the same thing. Yes, I know I'm
overqualified, but I still have to pay my bills! It's good to be going to
work for folks who will be allowing me to exercise my admin skills.
