Hello all. After some time off line. & now figuring out how to access
the group via google & my hotmail account. I'm back online. The move
has gone well. The kittens responded to an 8 hr drive like you'd
expect them to.... They hated it!!! After the first 3 hrs, they
stopped trying to chew through the bars of the carrier & unhappily
accepted their fate.
They are settling in to the new pad fairly well. There are 2 other
cats here: Leo (12yr old male) & Bonita (2 yr old Female)... Leo is at
the point of accepting Chablis & Muscat (after a little spraying)
Bonita, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with it. So far, she's
got Chablis scared & running away from her whenever they cross paths...
Muscat, on the other hand, is being a brave little man.... He stands
his ground & growls when Bonita comes near & she is the one backing
off. Another week or so of cat dynamics & both Rolly (My housemate) &
I hope it will settle into some form of truce. Meanwhile, the furballs
love the new house & yard. It's an older house with lots of nooks &
hidey holes to explore & they yard is HUGE & full of gardens & fruit
trees to explore & climb... Not to mention the trampoline that they
love to nap on and under.... Wow, what a big run on sentence that
was...
My world is good, I was here for all of 5 days & 2 job offers came
my way. I chose what I hope will be the best fit & I start work
tomorrow.
I'm sure I've missed a ton So purrs & prayers to all who need them.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer (winter for those of you in NZ
& OZ)... I'll trey to start catching up over the next little while.
Mathew, Chablis & Muscat

Mathew is back! Yay! Don't even try to catch up, you can't do it! Glad
you made it okay and you and your cats are getting settled.

Well, I know I could never catch up if I went without reading at least
once a week. But, maybe a speedreader with broadband could ;-)

Glad to hear the move went ok. :) Give the cats time, it can take
months for cats to adapt to newcomers.

When we moved here, DP spent over 20 hours in a car with a pair of five
week old kittens. Every rest stop, out came the bottle. Apparently
they wrestled all through the mountain pass....
....I thought I had it bad with Nox and Smokey in my car for that
drive...
Glad your guys are settling in.

That's good news! This seems to be pretty good job week for RPCA'ers.
