In the office Vernon I use we always have a window open during the summer
months and the cats come and go as they please.

A little earlier this afternoon, Vernon looked up at me and said, "What's
for dinner this evening? I'm starving!"

Just as he said this a certain one-eyed, black-furred, minus a few fangs
ladycat jumped in the window and on to Vernon's desk whereupon she dropped
her offering to sate Paw's hunger...

... a freshly caught & killed rat.

Waffles's timing was *purrfect*

Vernon went a shade of pale green and I had to remind him that for an
elderly lady cat, minus an eye and several fangs, she's still a mighty
huntress if she's able to bring a rat to the table ;-)

Cheers, helen s

I was asked if I would sacrifice it at the Altar of Bast as was fitting ;-)

This reminds me of a post from another ng where there was actually a recipe
for rat with onions.  EEEEK!  (I believe it was a German dish, presented by
another Victor.  I am glad *our* Victor prefers crispy duck breasts!  Maybe
Waffles will bring you a duck the next time!)

As long as she's around, you'll never go hungry. ;)
