I have electrodes all over my chest and abdomen (count 'em - EIGHT) and a
little box clipped to the waistband of my shorts. I was a little leery
because the tech kept going over to read the instructions, but I guess they
don't do this every day :) So, it was like, "On your mark, get set, go!"
she said, "9:20 AM. Bring it back tomorrow at 9:20 AM". Yep, I sure will.
But first I'll make you guys wait in my personal waiting room for an hour or
so. LOL Not like I'll get the results back fast so why should I get up and
drive over there in such a hurry?

Probably the same reason I had to have the monitor back in a hurry.
They've got it scheduled for someone else. At $300 for each 24 hours
though, I made sure I got it back!! (money is a great motivator for me)

Oh, they'll get it back, not to worry. From the way the tech was fumbling
around reading instructions, I doubt there is anyone waiting for this first
thing tomorrow morning. Even if so, I'm paying for it. My doctor told me
there wouldn't be a charge but they took my money anyway.

It's scary when the TECH is reading instructions!! Good luck with it.
BTW, mine wasn't a holter monitor. It was a thingy that monitors blood
pressure every 20 minutes and records it. I hated wearing it!

Depending on whether your doctor's office has the processing equipment
for the monitor, some results can be computer-generated quite quickly,
which is more the statistical summary of unusual events. The details of
those events, however, should be reviewed by a cardiologist.

They will be calling me with the results. I went ahead and got up and went
over there. There were still 45 minutes left on the monitor and they
wouldn't remove it until it was done. Good thing I took a book with me :)
