...one giant leap for Mookie!  He finally passed some stuff early this
morning!  It wasn't a "bumper crop", but at least I know things are
moving in the right direction.  I guess the anchovy oil last night did
him some good after all.  "Unca Ray" fed him a little more about an
hour ago.  He's drinking his water, and I'm continuing to give him just
his wet food.  He's not crying, and he's not walking all hunched over,
so I am cautiously optimistic (did a happy dance around the house at
6:00 this morning, then went back to bed & slept for 3 more hours).

We will continue to monitor the Master of the House - and I know that
the healing purrs coming from all *over* in this wonderful group will
help the love of our lives a great deal.

Thanks so much, guys, and I'll be back with updates, and maybe even
some ...ANECDOTES!

I love this group. Where else would a cat sh.tting be cause for
celebration? ;-)

A house is not a home, without a cat.

No sh.t!  Oops!  I mean... uh... YEAH!  ?;^) We may have to reward him
tonight - we're doing our version of surf & turf:  NY strip steaks &
shrimp the size of small lobster tails (marinated in soy sauce,
pineapple juice, garlic & ginger) on the barbie (but her silly boobs
keep making the shrimp fall off!), and a baby spinach salad with
pancetta vinaigrette.  Mookie is a shrimp fiend, and I'm sure he'll
manage to procure a bite or two.

Hooray! I hope Mookie's health troubles are on their way out the door, and
that your dear boy will soon feel himself, again.

After an enema, the bowel is completely empty and takes a day or two to get
working again in a normal fashion as the food gradually sort of goes through
and builds up enough to need to be pushed out.
I really think he's going to be okay now, as long as he is eating, Mary!
I'm so glad for you and Mookie.

Thanks, Christina.  He's walking a bit slowly tonight, but he wasn't
afraid to come out of his room and beg for steak.  He got a couple of
small pieces of the rarest meat on the plate, and cleaned them up in
short order.

We're hoping tomorrow will find another surprise you-know-where!

And now it's time to revere and adore our boy.  He'll probably join me
on the bed to view lousy television, and then fall asleep right up
against my back.  That's the job I've assigned him.  He's very good at
it!

This is good to hear. One of my cats had a problem a few years ago and
I was anxiously awaiting the first poopie. Purrs for continued
success.
