Francis has been fighting. Well, he's been in some sort of scrap.

One of his ears has a bite mark in it. Perfect outline of two big fangs and
between them, the outline of the smaller fangs... perforated through his
ear, just as if he's had his ear in a cat-bite-shaped hole punch.  Don't
know who the culprit is except it *isn't* Waffles as she is missing a fang
as would be indentified by bite mark ;-)

Doesn't seem to bother Francis at all.

Cheers, helen s

One day a couple of years ago, when I came home from work, I noticed
Nikki had some clotted blood on her ear. I gently removed it, and
discovered she had a small nick in her ear. Well, she'd been home alone
with Frank, so I know who the culprit was. It didn't seem to bother her
at all, and I never saw them fight that hard after that. Don't know what
had gotten into Frank.

Betsy and Mandy used to nip at each others' ears when they were first
introduces. One day I came home and noticed a trail of blood along one
wall at about ear height. On catching and examining the cats, I found,
like you did, a little nick. It healed very quickly without treatment, and
there hasn't been another one.

When Persia came to me she had a nick in her ear, too.  You could tell it
had been a little tear and there's a small notch missing.  It had healed up
fine but she'd been in a scrap with someone.

You can see Nikki's nick (and the culprit) in this picture. It's on the
left ear, right below the tip.
