My daughter doesnt want me to be alone without anyone to talk to even a
single minute of the day. As DH will not be home for another 2 weeks from
Boulder, she took me to PetSmart this morning and I adopted a little 10 week
old Torti. Her name is Lily.
She has taken over the house, and is currently sleeping on a plush toy. I
posted a picture of her on a.b.p.a.
Welcome Lily to the group.

I know that I could not stand it either. Some people it would not be that
way, but when Grant died, I would have totally gone under if not for Sugar
and Pearl. I heartily concur. And she is ADORABLE!!

I knew I missed some major stuff but I thought I kept up enough even by
lurking and mass reading an hour or so a month to know when our beloved
older ones passed. Oh Karen, I'm so sorry :(. I missed Grant's passing.

*hugs* I'll light a belated candle tonight

February 24. Thought it was a bad hairball. IT was advanced stomach cancer.
Thanks so much. I still miss him badly.

She looks a bit like my Spicey. I'm glad she's found such a good home.

Congratulations on the new arrival Lydia I'm sure Jazz will be pleased that
his meowmie has given another little kitty a chance at the love-filled live
he had with you!

I think the best way to honour the memory of a deceased loved pet is to
save another life...not to replace the former one, which is impossible,
but to continue opening your heart and home to those who so desperately
need it.

Congratulations.

Exactly so.   And the best cure for a sad heart is to love some more.

I'm so happy you adopted Lily.  I couldn't stand to be without a cat
either.  I wish I could see her but I don't get abpa :-(

Oh, she's so sweet! I'm so happy for you, Lydia. No one can replace
Jazz, but I'm sure Lily will help you enormously in healing after your
loss. I know Miranda helped me a lot after Nikki died.

Congratulations on your new owner, Lydia! =o) Alas, I can't seem to see
Lily's picture.  But I'm so glad to know you have a new companion.  I was
terribly sad to think of you grieving for Jazz all alone.  Good for your
daughter!  I'm sure Lily will be a worthy successor.

You, too?  I see the post, but what I see contains only part of the first
sentence and no picture.  I look forward to future pictures, though!

Welcome to all our hearts, Lydia.

I'm sure Jazz would approve.

Purrs for a happy integration as you learn how to serve her to her
complete and utter satisfaction (you've been trained before so it
shouldn't take very long)

Awww, welcome Lily!  So glad you are able to love a needy little new
one now.  It may help to heal your heart a little bit, too.

Blessings,
