Harri Roadcat is home!
As we were waiting for the vet tech to bring her out to us, I was
figuring she'd tired and relaxed. Wrong! She a ball of fire, and didn't
want to hang around that vet's office one moment longer than she had to.
We were going to stop to take a photo in front of the vet's office but
Harri wanted none of that. She was squirming and climbing my shoulders,
basically saying "Hey, Paw, we don't need no stinkin' pictures. Where's
the car? Is the car over there? Let's go to the car and go home. Here,
we can go on ahead and Meowmie can catch up. That looks like our car
over there...".
Once we got to the car Harri was all over. She cleaned herself on the
back deck, climbed on my shoulder for petting, checked out the back
seat, came up for more petting, climbed in Nancy's lap for petting, etc.
After about an hour she settled into her carrier in the back seat.
Once we got home Harri went immediately to the back door. She wanted
into her back yard! She's currently enjoying the sun and doing her best
to keep Ranger scared away.
I'll get some photos posted as soon as I get some new ones ready.

This bodes well for a full and speedy recovery Dan. I am so glad.

Great news, she sounds like she is doing just fine after her ordeal.
You must have a very good vet.

As much as he charges, he'd better be :)
Seriously, in spite of the high price, Dr. Moore was always available
when I called to check on Harri, he was able to quickly zero in on what
Harri's problem was, and based upon how Harri is feeling now I sure have
to believe that he knows what he's doing.
And I'm also very grateful that the local vet on Tuesday knew that he
was out of his league and knew to refer us to Dr. Moore.

I just wish I had a vet that I had as much confidence in!

I think it's lucky she was so young. She sounds like she's healin &
recovering fast. I'm so glad she's doing well. Give her a scritch from

Where's the truck Paw? Can we go for a ride, huh? How about a
kittywalk? Can we Paw? Can we, huh?
hehehehehe
Great to hear that Harri is feeling better. Do you know yet what
caused the pneumonia and the fluid in her chest? I bet she got
prescribed Antibiotics. Have fun giving them to her. And how does she
feel having all these bare patches of skin?

Hey Harri,
I wish I was there to welcome you home. But I don't want to
move a whisker in this heat. Bet you are happy to get out of
TED and be home with your Paw Paw and Meowmie.
Do you have to take any pills? I hate pills and gave Meowmie
a hard time this morning when she stuffed a pill down my throat.

This is such excellent news! She's got some spirit, that Harri RoadCat :)
She's a legend. When I made my albeit minimal contribution to the
specialists' bill, they transferred me to the "finance" department.
Apparently the poor woman there doesn't have any contact with the pets in
care. So I informed her Harri is a famous cat. That you'd managed to
wrangle changes in your trucking schedule to go adopt this wonderful cat. I
told her she travels around with you in your rig and even brings the harness
and asks to go on kitten walks. She was suitably impressed. Wouldn't have
surprised me one bit if she didn't leave the haven of "finance" to get a
glimpse of the famous Harri RoadCat :)

What impressed me is Harri's personality. In the time we've spent at the
specialist's office we've watched them discharge several animals, both
cats and dogs. But Harri was the only animal we've seen where when she
came out for discharge several of the back-office staff came out to say
goodbye.

That would be a "pawtograph" and they already have snippets of her fur! I
expect to see these selling on eBay soon! (teasing)

I would like to extend to Harri an invitation to join the "Tough
Kitties" club for tough kitties who make it through day after day in
the vet's before they let you go home!
Nocturne is our President and I am the Barfer First Class.
My Sister Tyche isn't really a Tough Kittie(TM), but she DOES do
contract hits on vet techs who were mean.
Have fun at home, but don't be TOO bad or they might take you back!
Sincerely yours,
Kumani

Hooray! Harri is home! given everything she's been through in the last 5
days, I don't blame her for wanting to get the Heck OUT of TED's office as
fast as possible! It sounds as if the little dear is feeling her old self
and thank heavens for that. =o) Sometimes, one just DOES have to throw money
at a problem to solve it! Now, I hope Nancy's soon to be former boss will go
let her earn some money, so that the vet and hoomin doctor bills can be paid
off, and that you'll get a good insurance settlement for that totalled
truck, Dan.
