Shorter one... I'm afraid of forgetting so I'm writing these when I can and
thought to share them with you at the same time.

She learned a trick, that was very new and unfortunately nobody else was
able to see it. It was an odd one, I'm not quite sure what she was doing but
she seemed  very focused.

Eve would always have something in her hands. It didn't matter, I think this
time it was a book. But she crawled into an empty cabinet. As we were
moving, there were several of these around. And she closed the doors,
sitting there, in complete darkness, perfectly still.

She started chanting. Mama-Mama-Mama. She did it for the longest time. Of
course, I'm on the sofa watching her and listening, and as always laughing.
But after a few minutes, she'd come out and start playing again. Ever so
often running to the cabinet to chant Mama a few times.

Silly goose.

Gracie,
Thanks for sharing. I hope it brings to you more and more good memories and
that they help you heal.  It's a good idea to write them down while they are
fresh.
Hugs,
Annie

Thanks Grace.  Your remembrances of Eve are not only heartwarming and
touching, but I hope they also give people some perspective on what's truly
important in life and to learn to treasure what we sometimes take for
granted!

Hugs,

Grace,
Thanks for sharing these stories. I can't imagine how hard it is.  My
Catherine is now 22 months, and it sounds like she and Eve would have
gotten on like a house on fire. Catherine has one cabinet in the kitchen
that she is allowed to open (all the plastic-ware is in it), and she
loves to hide in there while we make a big production of having her
stuffed animals look for her. And she also delights in infuriating me.
The cross-er my tone and more frowny my face, the more mischievous the
gleam in her eye gets until she runs off shrieking in delight.

Hugs to you and your angel.
