Eve took the hairless kitten to heart. She stayed in trouble and we think,
very much liked it there. And she was very vocal when she believed I was
standing in the way of her mischief.

She had another mom. She actually had three of us. Tonya and Shawna kept her
as much as I did during some weeks while I was at work. And nearly every day
I'd walk in and she was sitting against the wall. And she was happy, it
didn't bother her a bit.

See, daycare regulations has it to where you're only in time out for as many
minutes as you are old. So Eve's maximum time out was 2 minutes.

Have I mentioned she had a temper? ohhhhhhh, man! It wasn't a crying temper
either. It was a devious plotting revengeful temper.

So you have a room full of toddlers, and one heathen, things were bound to
happen and off she goes to time out. Except by this time, she clued in on
what time out was. And she used it. She used it to her benefit.

She plotted.

Because sure enough, she'd get back in the game and picked up where she left
off.  (ya'll think I'm Yehudah-izing this don't you?)

So other times, she'd be pushing the limit and either of the other moms
would ask in a threatening voice, just one word "Eve" and I swear... this
became a long running joke with us... she'd look at them and they'd ask/warn
her "do you want to go to time out"... and she went! But every single time
she did this, she always got back out there and ended up whacking whoever
she believed put her in time out.

I had a badass kid. And this is supposed to be serious but it was funny as
hell at the same time because she did it with such cuteness. Oh, no doubt
she knew when I was ticked. She didn't feel so much on top of the world but
even after my punishment was given out, I'd have to go into the bedroom and
laugh.

Kids are amazing, aren't they?
