My LLL is currently working an art show in Toledo, OH.  When we talked last
night he was very depressed and a little upset.  He hadn't done this show in
2 years but the friends who are in charge talked him into giving it another
shot.  It was looking like it was going to be a waste of his time (not to
mention gas & travel expenses since his big old 22 foot truck gets under 10
miles to the gallon).  I hate hearing him down and discouraged like that.

But this afternoon he rang me - he sold a BIG painting!  We're talking $6000
USD.  Needless to say that definitely helped his mood!  That alone made the
trip worthwhile.  Now we just hope the other couple who left to go measure a
wall (!) will come back tomorrow for the one they were interested in...
icing on the cake!

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

Wow, that's great!  And I hope the wall is huge to fit a huge and
expensive painting :-)
