Hi all,
Just wanted to update how things are going with Omar.  Giving him the
prednisone pills and DOCP shot seem to be doing the trick -- within half a
day of his first shot you could visibly tell that he was beginning to feel
better.  He's had to go in every week since for bloodwork (not fun at all)
to check his electrolyte levels and it appears that he's going to need the
shot every 3 weeks.  I'm really happy to be able to report that he's back to
trying to steal pork chops off my plate at dinnertime again; he's out and
about during the day instead of sleeping all the time in the kitchen; and
he's not losing any more weight so far.  :o)
