I have DSL. The specifications said it does have Ethernet (one thing
with being a computer blonde - you do read manuals :oP). There's a cable
that fits into the data transfer port in the wall. I suspect our systems
are very different from yours. I know phone plugs look different in
different countries, as do electric plugs. I should have thought of that
before I asked for help.

Ethernet RJ45 plugs are the same everywhere. How is your DSL connected
at the moment? Three methods I can think of, an internal modem, an
external USB modem or a modem/router with an Ethernet connection.
Hopefully it's the last one as that's the easiest, if it's a USB modem
you will need to install drivers, if it's an internal modem you need to
buy either a USB or Ethernet DSL modem.

Good point about the different types of phone connections - I should
remember that from all the travellign I used to do to Europe and Asia.
Just sent a response to your e-mail - it sounds like you have all the
hardware you need and are only a little bit of configuration away from
being able to go online via broadband.

I didn't realize there were different phone connectors. The ones here
in Thailand are the same as the ones in Canada and the US. I figured
if they are the same here they are the same everywhere.

You'll find they are different in Australia, but I imagine it will be
easy enough to buy an adaptor.
