I scared Vino...twice!

Ugh, the rats are back :-(  How typical, mere days after Dennis
leaves for work for another 4 weeks.  Last night I went to put
something in the garbage under the kitchen sink and what do I see but
a ginormous rat staring back at me.  I screamed, jumped back and flung
the door closed under the counter.
Vino had been gargoyling on the coffee table in the living room, but
my reaction must have motivated him to come to the kitchen to check it
out.  He came in "Creepin' Jesus" style and wouldn't get anywhere near
the counter under the sink.  I ended up picking him up and cuddling
him but it didn't seem to help much, it took him the better part of an
hour to walk upright in the kitchen again.
The exact same incident was repeated 2 hours later.
This morning I got my neighbour to call a man to re-enforce the walls
inside the cabinet under the sink.  He is out buying the supplies
right now.  I need to banish these damn rats once and for all!  For my
heart and Vino's!

Aww, poor Vino. Hoping the rats will keep away from now on.

Well, the guy came back and put a whole new floor and back into the
cabinet under the sink.  Hope that keeps 'em out.
I'm having a generally stressful day.  This stuff always happens once
Dennis is gone.  Remember when our car broke down last week?  Well, it
needs a new circuit board for the fuel control and it seems there are
none in Thailand so they are ordering it from Japan.  Seems it will
take 45 days to get here because they thought airfreight would be too
expensive so it's coming on a boat!
I phoned back and said no way, I can't be without a car for 6 weeks,
get it here by air freight.  They said that was impossible, the ship
has already left.  So I had my neighbour call her mechanic who called
Nissan and they told him what part it is, and he says he can get me a
used board from another car on Monday.  So I call them back to cancel
the order and they said that's not possible either.  So I said of
course it's possible, because I'm coming to take my car away on
Monday.  They said they would check and get back to me, which they
haven't done yet.  Arrgh, they better not try to hold my car hostage
for 45 days!!!  I'm so mad, I'm sure they are doing this because I'm a
foreigner and a woman :-(

LOL again!  That's what I call it when Stinky does that.  It's so
pathetic to see a bouncy, confident cat get into that attitude.

God, that's funny.  Not the rats, of course.

Maybe KC and BF could teleport over.  They've "cort" lots of rats. ;)

Kitty sez not to go after dese big rats, she say get dem when they a bit
little and crunchy ovverwise dey bite you wiv their chiselteef *reely* hard
and it urt alot.
We get der big big rats ere, dey way over a pound wate when dey grown.
We mite come and see der rats in Thailand and get rid of der little ones to
stop dem getting into big ones, but if the momma rats are very very big, yu
on yoor own.  It not dat we scared, we sensible.

They are very big, almost half the size of me!  My meowmie won't let
me at them because for me to get at them she'd have to open the
cabinet door under the sink and then the rats could get into the rest
of the house.  I think it would be fun but meowme doesn't think it
would be fun at all.  She got this man to come and put thick wood all
inside the back and bottom of the cabinet.  So far she hasn't screamed
once.  I hope that's a good sign because my meowmie isn't supposed to
be scared at home, she's supposed to protect me.
