Otis can knock the neighbour's phone off the hook and call you himself.
Since, y'know, the naval flag-signals with the neighbour's curtains
didn't work.

Back when Sammy was a kitten (well a younger kitten, since she'll
still MY kitten even at 30 yo or so) she used to answer my phone. Not
so much the phone as listen to the messages on the answering machine.
Would have been OK, but the little sh*t erased the mesages before I
had a chance to listen. Ended up that I unhooked the answering machine
and just used the cell phone voice mail, since customers complained
and didn't seem to understand why I never returned their calls.

I suggest you review your credit records thoroughly - Sammy was probably
conducting a business via phone and didn't want you to find out.
